Check out pro match.. they have 2 cell 2300 thats working in my unit and it lasts two months..
A much more logical and infinitely more useful and informative way to explain to someone how long a battery lasts in a particular device is to tell them how many hours usage said battery will last before it needs a recharge. For example, I've been using the $20 Intellect 7.4V 2300mAh 2s LiPo in my M11x for about a year now and I get no less than 18 hours constant use when not using the backlight at all, as in never switching the TX off in that entire 18 hour period. If I do use the LCD backlight, I only ever have it on the 'turn off after 20seconds' settings and then I'll get around 12-15+hours use between charges. You see, this way there is absolutely no guessing or ambiguity as to how long the battery is actually lasting because you didn't mention if you even use the TX each and every week and if so, for how long each week. I'm not trying to have a go at you mate, just trying to give a complete and thorough answer which will actually give some specific measurements how how long the a 2300mAh LiPo pack should generally last. |

It's a bit pointless saying that any battery has lasted any number of months as who knows if you use the TX for 2-3 hours/day, therefore 2 months at that usage rate would be 60-90hours(!!), which is absolutely impossible with any 2300mAh battery.

About the receivers. How much antenna do you need sticking out of the lid? I had the spektrum setup and the antennas where stubs. Worried I'm gonna snap em off and damage them. Sticking about a foot outta my losi buggy and 6 inches outta my rc8t.

dont cut..lol tie wrap what you dont need have an inch sticking out with a rubber top piece bent over, it wont hurt just dont bend it 100 times. all you need sticking out is the tip.. and dont wrap the wire close to or stuff it next to a power wire.. that could cause glitching IMO.. but some one will say I'm doing it wrong and correct me with a page letter on how to wind it with a small screwdriver and make it look cool. stuff it in the battery box and forget it. then take a walk with radio in hand when cars on a stand and see how far you get. if you testing on the east coast. when you get to the mid west you know your good.. J/K have fun

Anybody ever had their setting's get messed up while the unit was off? I Went to run my agama at the track the other day, and all my setting's were gone. Then the same thing with my 22 the next day. Maybe it's time for service? What you guys think? It's funny because I make 2 model memory's for each of my rides, (I will never have 30 cars) and the settings go out of wack on both model memory's. Hope that makes sense. :D

The radio probably had a watch type battery that keeps the memory powered up. When it goes deat the memory loses its data.
Call Airtronics and ask if this is the case and if it is user serviceable.

Let us know if you get this info, I'm interested in knowing as well. It's either that or the settings are stored in non volatile memory on the board.

I use the stock nimh. The crazy part is my T2 settings were all there. And still are...Very weird....I'll see if it happens again and go from there. Maybe it just glitched out or something. Ive played with both rides everyday since and it hasn't done it again, yet.
I doubt this is the case. But it would be interesting to find out for sure. Have you had it near any large magnets? Microwave maybe? |
