Mark I am flattered however I do not qualify to Race this year, but next year we will see ( Gary was supposed to remove my name from the confirmed entries)
since I'm a newbie in F1, does the lack of grip have to do with the high heat? I was out there a couple weeks back (not as hot as today) but the car was driveable...I really don't know what is good and bad since that was my first run with F103s...but it was like I said, very driveable.

But I think now he would have to call Fred and order over the phone. The spec stuff is available first thing Saturday morning.
He might have to buy starbucks for Fred now
Steve
Since the Tamiya faithful seem to have stock loads of product, if anyone has a Renault F1 sticker set - PM me or bring it to the track.

We need some dialed traction, then we be racin and not tip toeing around tryin not to crash.
Really don't think it's gonna groove up much more than it has and with the heat it could be miserable and that's not cool.
Don't really know but would sprayin the track have a negative effect on the rubber tire cars?
I just know I been tryin as have others and it isn't that great on us foamers.

We had a sweet battle at the end of the day with 6 Mini's here is who qualified in no particular order.
Brandon (thats me)
Troy Crabtree
Ken Brumblay
Steve Ashby
Jay ? (norcal rode with Steve)
David Weir
Results - No real winner since we freight trained alot of laps with passing back and forth motors were all the same speed Troy had just a few more ponies but was running a stock motor and it was an awesome time it was as if we ran Mini A main 1. It was SOOOOOO cool and fun I have to admit that it was the tightest mini racing with so many guys I have done EVER for so many laps. Its gonna be a great weekend
BTW- MO4 for sale with a ton of spares first $120 can have it - ball diffs, CVD's, aluminum shocks, etc. etc. etc. PM me. and yes I tried the car and NO it did not work at Tamiya considering the tires I have to use

Which kit?
RM?
15th Ann.?
I have old part number HBR Med. fronts
new part number HBR Med. fronts (unquestionably softer than oldies)
and I have premounts from the 15 th Ann. kit, even softer yet.
Oldies being the best, firmest of the three sets.
If the kit you're talkin bout had old Tamiya firms then definitely yes it would help.
Anyone got some, could really, really use em!

I don't think spraying it will do any harm to the touring car guys (although some will have to re-tune and re-adjust their setup slightly to the increase in grip) but I'm no expert, it might have a negative effect on the new coat surface? Personally, I don't think it needs to be sprayed with anything.
time for bed, see you guys tomorrow!

The other option would be 84094 ,these are the new C tires, which may be the same compound, I dont know cuz i dont have them, but if you want to loosen up the front end to get it to push those would be a good starting point
