In case some of you didn't know- there will be a special F1 only race the Saturday before the the Sunday TCS race at AV next month! All brands of F1 are welcome (so long as they fit within the UF1 rules).
This is a great opportunity for out of towners to race in the UF1 series all while getting tuned up for the TCS race the following day

More details here;

Default Where will it race ?

With the three new F104W kits coming out (McLaren MP4/5B, MP4/6 and Ferrari 643) all having foam tires as the "kit tires", will they be allowed to race in the F1 foam tire class for TCS ?

bummer, weak sauce right there.
Foam is the bomb, F103 is the bomb or at least F104W

Why yes, the black cans do smoke much easier than the silver cans but that will mainly be an issue if they are using in open gearing GT-2 and / or FF03. Sad part is we have only one brushless class in USA TCS and the "Premier Class", GT-1 is limited to 17.5 no timing. Just got back from Hong Kong. All five classes they run are brushless. Their top class, 4wd sedan (tub chassis only) runs the Tamiya 12T system and even the FF03 class runs the 16T which is similar to our 17.5 no-timing motors. Yes, even mini runs the Tamiya 18T motor / brushless esc system.

FWIW, GT1 was absolutely awesome to watch on a 80 x 36 carpet track. The top five guys were right there. Maybe on asphalt, not as awesome, but it works inside

F1 should go brushless...no timing on ESC and on motor. 21.5 Period.
