Rob is correct again. Fred approved this type lipo in a hard case for F-104. I was there for the conversation.

Why, yes Jimmy, you are correct. That is the word direct from Fred when I ran F-104 last year. He stated the electronics trays must be installed per the assembly instructions.

For high traction carpet with foam tires, the car goes faster the lighter it is. This is quite the opposite of rubber tire on asphalt, especially if there is not track prep like sugar water or VHT. The lower the traction, the more lead you should be stacking on your ride

Sorry I didn't read up sooner, Carlos mi hermano. Correcting papers and all. I got the idea of M06 from M05 conversion from Mark H. at TA. I ordered up from Speedtech the A, B, C, D and E parts trees for the M06. I also pulled down an instruction manual from Tamiya's website and went step by step.
If I had just strictly used plastic parts straight from the instructions, I would have spent about $80 on parts. I already had the aluminum steering gear on my M05--that was a direct swap. And, I already had a lot of fasteners needed uniquely for the M06. I did spring for the aluminum rear bulkheads, which added $35 to my cost. And, I did not have the unique rear hingepins with the ball studs integral to them for the lower rear shock mounting points--another $8.
Both cars use the same suspension arms, uprights, and gear trains. Also, I already had a set of aluminum full-size shocks--not the Mini-size ones--and such niceties as the hollow gear shafts, bearings for everything, and U-joints. So it helps if you have a lot of other Mini-series parts laying around. If not, buying the whole M06 Pro kit is a better deal, even if it doesn't come with aluminum shocks. And you'll still have to spend more for goodies like the aluminum bulkheads that don't come with the kit.

That's what I was thinkin and you will still have an M05 as well as the M06 instead of an M05 in a basket.

I just said the heck with it and sold my M05 Pro and built up an X-EVO fwd mini.

Hi Jeff,

I think Tamiya USA transposed the result from Omaha '11 - I seem to remember you winning GT2 this year. It has you in 2nd. I can correct that if that was the case.
