Novarossi engines thread

It depends.... The MitoC is Flash based.
- 14.5mm crankshaft
- normal 14.5 x 26 bearing
- no offset carburator mounting
- bore x stroke: 16.2 x 16.8
Most say the xtra long stroke engines do perform well but in the hands of most drivers I think the MitoC is nothing different. I think they will be the cheaper engines and for sure cheaper in maintenance.

No, it's just a different design philosophy, I don't think there is any real performance disadvantage in the slightly shorter stroke and centralized carb.
I think this is what drivers want from Novarossi, an engine that is cheap to maintain, doesnt use the odd "patented" off set bearing, and is fast.
Novarossi are probably just listening to their customers a bit more, which isn't a bad thing is it? Nobody wants to have to use a $100 bearing in the rear you can only source from one manufacturer.
RB did the same with the CXR SLS9 V2 went back to the standard ceramic bearings.

Can someone please tell me the difference between the virtus .12 and the mito .12?
From what i can by comparing parts is the head/button and crankcase are different due to the mito only having 4 engine screws and the virtus 6.
also is there a tuned version or are the only versions steel bearing or ceramic bearing?
Thank you
