How about OS? I have purchased a bunch of P7s recently, for my nova based engines...

Roelof 05-11-2010 02:06 PM

I was told the P7 acts like a R6 and the P8 can be compared with a R7.

And yes, the do work very well.

Have you bought any recently Roelof? I know they used to be great but I have heard rumors that they have gone the way of Nova with the cheaper element.

No, we just have a small batch from last year.

Hi guys, i have a N12t1 and the recommended plug is the c5tf which is the short plug, can anyone tell me whats the RB equivalent or maybe another brand equivalent plug?

thanks.

OS plugs have become my favorite, but I have also heard good things about the O'Donnell plugs (by the way if they are made by Merlin, that is the same company that makes plugs on a regular basis for Traxxas.)

On a side note, has anyone used OS plugs with Picco based engines?

OS turbo plugs have a different taper than Nova Rossi/RB turbo plugs. Installing OS turbo plugs in a cylinder head designed for NR/RB pulgs will create sealing problems. Merlin has a plug that is designed to both applications.

This is true but oddly enough, it mainly seems to be a problem the other way around. I have found that most any plug will seal fine in a Nova motor but Nova plugs WILL leak in an OS. It's strange but true.

Also, I have had really good luck with Picco plugs in the past but haven't tried them in many years.

Hello all,
What is the story behind the newly introduced 2503? How is it compared with the other nova exahusts?
Thanks in advance

I will do you one better, does anyone have a link to a chart, or information about where the pipes for on-road, 2015, 2018, etc, make power? Its been quite awhile since I have raced, the only pipe I am familiar with is an 086 series.

If it's still legal where you race, stick with the 086 or 9886. If not, 2015 for mileage, 2052 for a bit more top but a bit less mileage. Also, Sirio 2013 is a good all around pipe with good mileage.
