Update post, I had my fist race of the season today where I TQ'd and got first overall. My 353 09 was on fire today, I was really not happy with the carb settings as I know I was a bit lean on the bottom end but the car was the fastest I can remember it going. I keep it between 260-280 all day and threw the race with great results. My only issue was when I lost 2nd with 5 mins remaining but with my solid lead I was able to maintain position while just costing down the straight once I ran out 1st gear.

JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS RUNTIME ISSUES WITH THIS MOTOR ?IM RUNNING THIS MOTOR WITH THE 2652 NOVA PIPE ANY INFO ON HOW I CAN GET THAT EXTRA MILAGE WOULD HELP.............BY THE WAY I MUST SAY THAT I LOVE THIS MOTOR ,IT SCREAMED BY A COUPLE OF MODIFIED HIGH END POWER PLANTS WITH NO PROBLEM :sneaky:AND THIS ONE IS STOCK !!!!!!!!!!

hey man, you engine should have come with a extra nipple, there is one with a small inlet and then there is one with a bigger inlet, the smaller one will give u more fuel millage and the other will give you more power, you could also try a different restrictor, i can make about 7min on my Nova 3sct tuned.

hi guys, is there a difference between the novarossi C6TF and the C6TGF plugs?
interms of heat rating or length of the plugs?

i tried comparing on the novarossi site but its not very clear.

If it's still legal where you race, stick with the 086 or 9886. If not, 2015 for mileage, 2052 for a bit more top but a bit less mileage. Also, Sirio 2013 is a good all around pipe with good mileage.

Thanks for the feedback, last question if you don't mind, where does the 2018 fit in the mix?

I think the difference is just the tip of the plug.

The C6TGF has a gold tip, the C6TF doesn't.

Hey guys

im running a old plus 12-3ct and im wanting to pull it down and give the whole engine a good clean, and check for any air leaks.

my question is what solution should i use to clean it? is there any thing i can get from like a local hardware store, or should i use a rc brand specific stuff.

thanks

Not sure, have never run it myself and don't know many people who do.

I would just used brake cleaner that you are able to find at any local parts or auto outlet, then once everything thing has been fully cleaned where you are happy I would use a quality bearing oil on the front and rear bearings, then use after run oil on all the other parts as you are reinstalling them. This is the method I have used and my engine has never run better.

Hey Sean, what specifically would make the 9886 illegal?

Team Kamikaze 05-17-2010 10:33 PM

For not meeting the required noise level.

As far as i know, it's still legal for ROAR but is illegal for EFRA and IFMAR races which require 3 chamber pipes (20xx numbered pipes).

novarossi Flash .12 3 tuned

Hi guys, i have a nova flash .12 tuned and i read the murnan in car break in method which says run the car at very rich setting for 750cc. Does this mean 750cc ( 10 tanks) continuously and then cool the engine? And another thing is, they said at full throttle the car should be moving slow, but i've richened the high speed needle at least 1 1/2 turns and this engine still wants to go fast. Can anyone help ,cuz i don't want to damage this beautiful engine.

NiTrO BoOsTeR 05-25-2010 12:22 AM

hey guys, i think i need to change the bearing in my Nova. is there anyway to be absolutely sure that the front bearing is sucking in air when i gets hot. its leaking a little bit of after run oil, but thats normal.

also will a Nova 353 front bearing fit a Nova 3SCT tuned front

thanks guys

Mitch
