Dear all,
Can you please indicate if the Novarossi 353 Plus 2 exists in Tuned version (from Novarossi factory) ? If someone has information about it, I am interested. I am planning to get a 353 Plus 2 but I would buy the Tuned version. Where can I have one ? An idea of the price ?
Thanks by advance for your answer ! ;)

The difference is not much. In our local track have 2 guys 353 . On of them is the tuned version. He got this engine from Italien. But there is no noticeble difference between this engines. They are both running the same car and pipe!

Something is wrong, but where?

Hey guys, i need your advice. I am having problem with my engine( Re12S3).
The engine just fail to get started. There is nothing wrong with my glow plug. Upon placing the car on the starter box, i can still hear the usual sound of the engine start-up. Sadly the engine stubbornly refuses to fire up. Any advice will be deeply appreciated. Happy Chinese New Year. Gong Xi Fa Cai:)

How about changing the plug?

anyone?

The "T" models have a larger crank (11,9mm) compared to the 11.5mm crank of the other engines.

Get the one with the T in the name

coding for the motors are 3=3 port, S=11.9mm crank, C=Ceramic, T=Turbo crank
the 12-3ct has the turbo crank, this is the only difference between the motors. and both have the 11.5mm crank.

i would suggest the 3sct, this is the turbo 11.9mm crank engine. :) very fast

Engine

Hi,
I have been out of r/c for a couple years now and am just now getting back into it. i bought a xray nt1 and am looking to buy a engine now. i was thinking between the +12 sct and the 353. can anyone who has experience with these engines point me in the right direction?
thanks in advance,
joe

The + SCT I believe that is better for low speed tracks and the 353 for high speed tracks.
If you get the 353 get the "rev 2", that has a new block to fit the nt1 better.

When I was considering a 353 I was told the power band is more linear smoother than sct but what bothers me about the 353 is who needs the other bulls#$t motor it comes with. So for the price its a little crazy considering your only gonna get one good motor for 500 bucks

Some places on the internet are selling the Plus 2 motor separately. I would think hobby shops should be able to order it separately as well.

nova is releasing a v2 version of the 353, i was told by the lhs that nova is considering to make it avaible without the crappy engine, and maybe with an exhaust and extra conrod and plugs.

seikob 02-09-2008 03:48 PM

To novarossi experts. Ive just purchased 2 engines (353 & 359 ) and 2 paperweight engines. I just need to know if the con-rods for +12-3CT , 3SCT , etc.. Which is #7601 fits the 353 #7602 .. What was the difference? Also the con-rod for 35+ , LC , Etc . will it fit the 359? what was the difference? .. I noticed that the 353 are not ifmar legal so i might need to get another engine.. Maybe Eagle 12-T3T , any recommendations ? All infos and help are much appreciated... Thanks

cdelong 02-09-2008 04:18 PM

the LC rod will not fit the 359. My understanding is that the LC has a smaller crank pin. The LC/WC rod says C2 on it.

I believe a 35+ rod will fit a 359, but the #'s are different. 35+ takes a R7 rod with standard pin clips and the 359 takes a P1 rod with different clips.
