The N12LS3 is the best Novarossi .12, apart from the newer Plus 12. Very solid engine that makes great power through the rev range.

Hi, can anyone please tell me the difference between the Plus12-3C and Plus12-3CT?? All engine specs seem to be the same and both have ceramic bearings. Besides that, what are the major differences in performance and durability??

The CT and the C are the same with the exception of the crank. The CT crank has a more agressive "turbo" cut in the crank end that enteres the crank hole. The C's turbo cut does not enter the crank hole.

The C and CT are both IFMAR legal. The CT is not EFRA legal because of the crank. The C is EFRA legal.

EFRA has adopted the IFMAR specs for engines for 2007 so the CT IS EFRA legal. The Germans have also adopted the IFMAR specs for 2007. The BRCA had its AGM before EFRA and so we didnt change over. You could say the CT is not BRCA legal

Cheers

Ziggy, it's about time that the BRCA helds it's meeting after the EFRA meeting, because for 2007 you guys might not be able to use new engines, because they are all BRCA illegal.
Or am I missing something?

Nitro$junkie 11-24-2006 07:38 AM

what dose BRCA stand for i know IFMAR ROAR and EFRA never heard of BRCA
just a stab in the dark is it British Radio Control association

No your not missing anything. the engine makers will not continue production of BRCA legal engines and supplies will dry up around the middle of the year unless you want to run the CRF Wasp.

Cheers

Hey Y'all, I just picked up a Nova NS12 S3/A1. Anyone know anything about this thing? Is it better than the Nova/Mugen MT-12 I have now?

Thanks for any info you can give

Yep
IFMAR is International federation
EFRA is European Federation
ROAR is USA
NOMAC is Dutch
BRCA is Britsch
And I recon that every country has it's own national organisation......

Good engine. Long stroke. There is general info on Nova's website. The Mugen X12 is the same engine as that one.

IFMAR / EFRA is NOT restricted to 7mm. BRCA there is no change from last year so 7mm crank bore and turbo scoop cannot intersect the outlet

Cheers
