I saw it at Dinball rc mart and listed on ebay.

From the info, i can't see anything different apart from maybe the crank. One has info, the other does not.

technically im not sure, but performance wise, totally lots of different. the punch & acceleration is sometimes too much too handle.... if u get used to the 21B & switch to the 21T. its like u have to set the throttle to 80% to manage yer buggy.

Your STS engine should have come with a rod end that fits your sts carb perfect. If you dont have this in your box let me know and Ill send you the piece. I have a few that I never used from my own motors.

I had my first race with my d3r this weekend. End result, i'm happy with my purchase. To be quite honest, at first i was dissapointed because the engine seemed to have no top end at all. I followed recommendations of gearing up on my mongoose. I changed my stock gearing from 19 to 20 teeth and 24 to 25 on second.
Even with this change on sunday morning, i thought the car was slow. I was alone on the track and my acceleration out of the corners was good. Just as good as my RB V12. On the top end, i just could'nt feel it, the car felt to easy.
Then the fast guys got on the track for practice ( 710 with zx 12's- and good drivers). I thought they would blow past me on the straight. To my surprise i kept up with them, no one had the speed to pass me and the gap between me as lead car never diminished. The back straight is 225 feet long.
I guess the power band is so smooth and since this motor revs lower, i had the impression that i had no top end.
Time wise, i had one of my fastest laps this season.

Will be purchasing a D3R Modified from pro-hobby very soon.
I was wondering what plug choice is recommened for this engine? I have been hearing that O.S. plugs are both good and bad, and only used Nova based plugs.
All this has really got me confused on which plug to use with best results.
What pipe is recommened for this engine?

I ran it on my D3R last weekend with great results. Ill be sticking with this pipe for awhile and durability wise itll be sticking with me. Last 2 pipes I ran dented the pipe the first race. This one made it through without even the slightest ding.
Os will leak , nova wont. I personally dont like os plugs cause Ive heard the wire filament when broken off can cause damage to the motor while a nova/rb plug will disintigrate causing no damage.
