Hey guys im considering getting a dragon 3 port, but was just wondering
1/how sensitive are these engines to tuning? do you need to tune them everytime you come to the track?
2/hows the life span on these engines? 15 Litres?
3/what are the horsey figures for this engine?
4/where is the power best with this engine lowend, mid-end or topend?

Thats about it i guess hehe :P
cheers guys

1. With turbo plug you do need to readjust the carb everytime. Turbo engine is more sensitive to the weather change. If you are tired of tuning carb everytime, look for a normal head button for your engine.

2. It depend on how hard you run it. My engine always run full-open throttle,so about 4 gallons I will change a new sleeve. Or once it over-heat,the compression will lose.

3. affordable and enough power

4. low-mid torque

If you adjust it to as fast as OS,the engine will be as lasting as OS or more. All moving parts are subject to wear. So you have to check and maintain it regularly. 90% engine died due to worn out parts. If you want it more lasting, you can not be lazy. Also every nitro guys should have one temp gun. or keep the smoke exhausts out.

When your engine running on very rich setting,it usual has a little leaking from the front bearing. When you start to lean it,the leaking should stop.

Get the engine, I have the D5 (non mod) and its great Only real problems I had where from my actions. I moved fuel inlet on carb (DONT DO THIS - I created air leak) and I had stalling problem but this was because engine tune being too rich Ive leaned it out and she has not stopped once now !

There was one time last week I was , car stop on track. No throttle Grr looks like engine stopped.. I got car back and.. oh, engine still running , had a look, no steering either - dead receiver battery hehehe

Had the same problem, I just totally replaced the bearing as this will create over heating and very unstable idling speed.
