What happened to Jjenkins? He was my argus team manager I had an issue at the end of summer and tried to contact him and never got any replies. I just gave up. Was wondering if anyone knew anything.

I made my own engine heater, bought a 12v 2x6 inch heat strip glued it into a can coozie, sewed the top added a Velcro closure and thats it.. I tried to use my power supply but it got way to hot, well over 300 and was burning the material, LOL, using my turbo 30 on motor run mode at 8.5 volts for testing. Will report back more.. I have basically $32 bux into it and 1 hr of my time.. Picure isnt the best but you get the idea..

Both are great engines The D52 has a lot more bottom end as where the B6 has a softer smoother feel, both have great top end and are good engines. Just depends what you like as far as power delivery goes. It is good to stick to same brand if you are happy with them that way the tuning is similar to what you have now. And if anything ever happens you have parts you can swap out from each other as well later on if needed.

"Hey guys I have spoken with Jonathan and he is alive. His life (personal) is in a bit of an uproar, but he has told me he will be placing an order and getting back in the saddle mid January" Hope this helps! |
Still lovin my Argus A52. Finished 4th at the Fawl Brawl in Myrtle Beach SC. and 4th out of 48 at the rcpit new years race in Lugoff, SC. The engine's bottom end is punchy and the top end is endless. Couple gallons in, no signs of wear, still needs a heat gun to fire up. Thanks to JJenkins at ATOZRC.NET for good prices and customer support.

I know its right after the holiday but I have a Brand New A52 for sale, $150 Shipped within the US.. Its a great deal, Need to sell this engine, Work is killing me..

The new Argus engines are very nice, A5 is getting about 1 minute more runtime than the old A52 and the D52 is getting about 30 seconds more per tank.
New heads sure look nice too:nod: Lance RcRenew |
WHERE'S THE D52 VIDEO FOOTAGE PEOPLE??!!.....
:D Need some nitro porn to get through the winter.. It's been raining and miserable here for weeks and weeks.. Come on you Ossies and Kiwis - you're on deck, with all that sunshine and nice weather!!.. |
How is the A5 in terms of bottom end/top end compared to the A52? 0801 still the pipe of choice on the Argus or is the 2090 the way to go on the new engine?

I still think the 2090 and the F0801 are the best pipes. Both works so well I would have a hard time saying which one is better. 2090 is cool because you can change the tips and alter the characteristics. Lance RcRenew |

The A5 seems just as fast on the track, but it is smoother on the bottom end. Te A52 was a little too much for some people. the A5's powerband has a more controllable type feel.

Yes werks #5 or #6 plugs for us have been the best choice.
Thanks, Lance RcRenew |
Lance have you seen differences in the machining of scallop cuts on the cranks. The engines I'm prepping for my buddy have completely different cuts on the crank. I took pics of each one. Unfortunarely they were not side by side. I had already cleaned, inspected and sealed and started break-in on #11I0199 by the time I started working on #11I0205.
Notice the serial number is only 6 engines apart. |
