Congrats on the podium finish!!! Which motor/pipe did you run in your serpent?

Team drivers from last year are still on the team and there is no need to re-apply.

Rex

I ran argus D52 .21 with nova 9901 pipe and 41029 novarossi header run time was around 10 Min

Argus tb-1 pipe close to 0801 or 2081

The Tb1 is similar to the 2081 with adjustable stingers.

I ran the TB1 on my R8 in Truggy. I liked it and it did really well. I happen to like the 0801 pipe on it a little better. I think the 0801 is about perfect for the Argus based engines. I like it on the R8 and the A5.

I think the 0801 pipe is better on gas. But i love the tb1 pipe in the truggy on the 23 with the blue stinger. I use the 0801 pipe for the r8 in buggy. I think the r8 with the 0801 is the best combo. I did not try out the newer pipe yet but plan to this season. I did try the 0801 pipe on the 23 but I felt it killed the top end for those wide fast flowing tracks. These are my findings though.

Guess i stick with tb-1, got stinger option

Alrighty Argus motor fans, sell me on an Argus. I am now required to get a 5 port for my GT car. I run off road too and in GT we run buggy or truggy motors. The track I run at is now going to enforce the 5 port .21 rule. Rex, looking for a 5 port with good bottom end that smooth and will still wind out. Normally run novarossi's but I am always looking to try something new. When I was up in Utah for work last year I ran a few races with a guy with an alpha and he kept up with me with no issues. If the argus are alpha based at a better price point, I might give one a try.

i would say the R8. Are they allowed to be modified? If so get Rex's Mod R8 deal. I had him do this to mine after trying it stock and it allowed it to pull some serious RPM's up top. One of my favorite engines to date. Stock is still really good but i think if allowed Rex's mod would be perfect in onroad GT.

Rider313,

Thanks for the response. I can only use a True 5 port. Not 5+2's according to are race director. I think my only choice is the A5. I will get one modded. However, do you have any recommendation for buggy and truggy. I run in S.Cali where the tracks are loose. Over powered motors usually don't do well. I am currently running a nova plus 4 in my buggy and Bonito 7 port in my truggy. Just picked up a new MBX7T! My 6TR was getting a little tired. I see you are a mugen guy too.
