Yes the new engines have some new work done to the crank. Another large turbo cut and this also lightens the crankshaft, as where the crank counter weight was a bit heavy on the A52.

Sorry I worded my question wrong.
I have two brand new D52 ordered at the same time, just two weeks ago. The serial numbers on the engine cases are only six numbers apart. So being built so close in production I figured the turbo cuts would be identical. However they are not. These turbo cuts are just beside the crank pin. So one engine has three turbo cuts and the second engine has two turbo cuts. HERE IS THE FIRST ENGINE. #11I0199. The Argus crank is on the left side. Disregard the crank on the right hand side. Notice how there are 3cuts. http://i1121.photobucket.com/albums/...9turbocuts.jpg HERE IS THE SECOND ENGINE. #11I0205. Notice only two cuts. It does look like the machine was about to start the next cut but it never got there. http://i1121.photobucket.com/albums/...5turbocuts.jpg |
Between these two engines will there be a noticeable performance difference in your opinion?
|
All the ones I have seen just had 2 cuts but no, it wont make a big difference.

has anyone tried the Argus B52 and the A5 , not sure you guys in the US get all these.
what are the performance differences between the A5 and B52(not sure if this model is named D52 in the US. ive been told that the engines especially the A52 has a real down low punch to it and does well out of corners and lends itself really well for truggies... any personal experiences with these engines would be sweet... as im looking to buy 1 or mabe even a few. |

Yea, They have been very consistant, But it should just be visual and not effect anything.
