The new Argus 3 port is nothing like an Arrow. It will be long stroke similarar to the Alpha Dragon.

From talking with Paul King, who is on the nitro council for ROAR, things at ROAR don't move fast. I wish I could get a straight answer. Paul was the one who told me that the MES ports shouldn't be an issue. He said the whole point of the 5 port reg was to keep the cost down for the average joe. ROAR just need to go into their new rule book and say specifically 5 port with no additional exhaust ports. I guess you could say a true 5 port. And I am fine with that. I just hate when guys say you can't run that motor because it's a 5+2 and their picco or nova is a 5+2 also.

There is a 5 port limit on buggy engines in the ROAR regulation?

Sorry for the confusion gentlemen. As Rex stated it is the new onroad GT class that has a motor limit.

Still breaking in my Modified R8. Might have a gallon thru the motor now. She still hasn't completely woken up. I am really hoping she will wake up on Sunday when I head to the track for practice. I know once she wakes up, she is going to be a beast in my Truggy!

I just put the new modified R8 I got from Rex in my buggy, and my first impression of this engine was...wow, what a potent little mill. I had him break it in for me as well, which is well worth the price!

I heated it up and it started right away with a nice stable idle. Very crisp and mean sounding. Wasn't able to put it on the track yet, but plan to this Thursday and I can't wait to let it rip.

This is my first modified motor and I'm glad I chose this one from Rex at RW Mods. Thanks again, Rex. You have one happy customer!

Got my Modified R8 finally completely broken in. Pulled it from my Truggy and put it in my buggy just for fun, and it's crazy power in a buggy. It's perfect for truggy! Would have to due some clutch tuning to make this R8 work nicely in a buggy unless you have a super smooth trigger finger. Thanks REX!

it works great in buggy and truggy. you will learn control in time. i kinda like the extra power for those time in need to get the car back on 4 tires. like when you go over jumpand some one hit you in the back giving you a lot of nose down on landing. having that extra power seem to save me here and there.

What are the working temperatures for an Argus R8 at full tank and at empty tank?
