Just when you think you have it narrowed down. At least it seems there isn't really a bad decision in the bunch. I looked at the Adam Drake edition but, I couldn't find much about it other than it was based on a Clio P5. Do you like it?

Sorry for the late response. I just got it back for an EBIS break-in service. It’s still coll where I am so I have not started it yet.

Can anyone explain the differences between the Mito 4 and the Mantra? The former is long-stroke and the latter is square, but what does that translate to in laymen's terms?

I'm guessing the larger bore of the Mantra will yield higher RPMs while the Mito is more torquey?

well i didnt get a heck of a lot of running on the rolling but i really like the way it puts power down in truggy. even slobbering-ly rich it still had grunt to clear all the jumps it needed too but was still too new to really scream down the straight

I have a keep off 4 that seems to 'pass" at the ports when the piston is going to tdc, it was pinched because it was flaming at idle and it feels tight but still has the same issue. Im wondering if i should get the block milled and replace the bearings and rod or just toss it because the liner and piston wont hold compression

You'd have to weigh the cost of getting it back up to running condition vs. just buying a new mill. Sometimes the latter is just easier and economical in the long-run. If she turns out to be a paperweight, I'll gladly take 'er off your hands.

I am sure this has been covered and tried to do a search with no luck. I have heard you can take our a shim or two from Nova's once broken in compared to OS motors where you don't touch head shims. Any input is appreciated. Just picked up a Top 7-plus. Was planning on leaving head shims in for break in and then pulling as many as I can for performance.

Novarossi Rolling

I have been drivning my Kyosho TKI4 with my Novarossi Rolling on track this weekend. Started with 9901 pipe and 41001 manifold and 7.0 Venturi. This combo produced way to much power for me at this track.
I then changed to Novarossi EFRA 2096 pipe and 41021 manifold. This made the car more driveable but still plenty of power. If you like me like alot of bottom end in buggy this may be your choice. The last 3 years i have been drivning OS engines, Speed 2 and B2101. Novarossi Rolling i find to have more power and equal top speed as my OS engines. Runtimes is a little better for me with the Rolling then my OS engines. I Always pit at 7.30 and my runtimes are always pretty bad regardless of What engine i use. But i get about 8min 30 Seconds of runtime so far with the Rolling. It is about 20 seconds better then with my OS engines.

Below you can see how it performs.

looks good, i ran the 41033/9901 on mine in truck, would be too much power as is for me in buggy
anyone have any info on the 24065 carb? I got a karma here and its a long needle carb but the bore looks to be about 7mm instead of the 8.3-8.4 normally with novas

What’s everyone liking for pipe/header combo on Mantra in buggy for smoothness and mileage?

Randy, I really liked the 41021 header and 9901 pipe. Smooth and good mid-top. Decent mileage. 8-9:00 minutes.
