I need to time my Rolling. I am pretty sure its out around 9 minutes. I have not tried to tune it for mileage but for the smile on my face factor. It does zing in a buggy on Tessman 30% lol. Fun motor.

We put a tune on the rolling. Cant seem to get it right. Its fat as hell and it keeps going over 300 degrees. Had a great tune on it with good power idle and smoke. Came off the track at 320. Loose conditions. 85 degree ambient temp. That's just insane. Running a cto 6 plug with bonez 30 fuel. 10 % oil. Any suggestions ?

sounds like your needle maybe out of balanced or you have a leak some where ...

reset to factory settings and start from there, tuning top end needle first..

What pipe/manifold compo do you use?
I have big experience in the virtus/rolling engines, give us some more info so that I can help..
Also how many liters did you break the moton in?

51020 pipe . Had the motor broke in with an oil bath. Probably has a gallon on it since then . We reset it to stock. Settings. Still 300 degrees.

Sounds to me like a dodgy temp gun.. Spit a blob on the head. If it takes a couple seconds to sizzle away - and your smoke and sound are good, well afaic the engine's good. If it instantly evaporates then yeah, something might be wrong..

"It's an airleak" to me is like when your grandma - or certain types of doctor - tells you that drinking camomile tea will cure all your ailments.. - including severed limbs, shotgun wounds, etc etc..

51020 pipe, with what header?? Does it happen to use the 41032 header?

For engines like the rolling temps up to 284°F are normal..
When I was using the 41032 header with the 9901,9886,9853 pipes I was seeing temps about 20°F higher than when using the 41021, 41031 headers.

Have you checked you fuel tank, fuel filter and tubing for air leaks? Be sure that they are ok..

Haven't been using Novarossi engines in a few years and started looking around for a Keep-Off or a Virtus. What the heck happened? Nova engines, especially the Virtus, were like 600 bucks when they first came out, but now can be had for sub 250. Is there a particular defect I should be aware of? Have Nova lost their competitive edge, or did they simply revise their pricing structure because they're not currently in the winner's circle?

This is just my opinion. I am not hating on Novarossi at all. I have 2 in my stable and love them. What I have experienced is that the QC in Novarossi is not the same anymore. I have owned 4 mantras in the last 2 years. 2 of the engines had premature failure issues but the other 2 were fine. Some of the issues literally happened right out of the box on break in??

For me it comes down to price . I will continue to use Novarossi as long as the price is fair. I cant spend premium pricing to roll the dice on whether or not I get a good or bad engine. But my current Rolling and Mantra and great, very happy with them.

I’ve heard this rumor more then one time, Not sure if it’s true or not. But I’ve heard Novarossi is going to go out of bussiness? Again I’ve only heard rumors anyone else here this? Hopefully it’s not true. I don’t have any truth to this just heard some rumors.
ive also heard there switching distributors to so not sure what is really happening.
anyone know?

And lets also not forget covid 19, it hammered Italy pretty hard, but the fact of hardly any stock on motors and several being discontinued makes me wonder.

Anyone else having trouble finding glow plugs? I can't find any CTO6 plugs.
I can find the 5 & 7.
What would you guys recommend out of the two and would I have to adjust my tune for a hotter or colder plug?
