9901 has crazy top end when its used with the right manifold ! your issue is you simply used the 41021 and called it a day...swap to a 41001 and that 9901 will put a big hurting on a 2096 ....the 9901 has a crazy good top end when it has the right manifold ! it just doesn't like the 41021, that manifold murders its top end

That seems strange to me as the 2015 is an onroad pipe which will give lots of RPM but reduced bottom end feel. On the ROMA in truggy I run 2096/41032 and this gives great power and runtime. The power band is quite linear with the 2096. If you want even more power then 9901/41032 but this makes the power band very aggressive in my experience.

As long as you are using the right size screwdriver the screws are absolutely fine. Novarossi don't do optional hex screws but I'm sure you can find equivalent thread at the hardware store.

I'm with Dan. I did have the opinion the flat head were junk. Then I got the right size flat head bit and have had 0 issues. Like anything you have to have bit with zero play. Put the wrong size hex driver in a hex screw and see how well it works. Same with flat head.
