I just purchased the elite 5 and paloma limited edition. Which one should I use buggy and truggy? I run on an medium sized indoor high bite track. Thanks! Michael

The last Nova rod is the R7 (14) ...

invrtd 12-22-2016 05:32 AM

I would run elite 5 in buggy and Paloma in truggy. I know the paloma with the right pipe and header is pretty strong. I havn't run it myself, but know some that have.

I think the paloma limited is more a buggy engine, but the blue head extra long stroke will be an excellent in truggy or buggu

the newest batch i got not long ago are new redesigned more like the old R4 rods of 2005 or so ... R7/16 it seems as though the aluminum is harder in these newer rods ... not sure yet ... havent had one failures from any customers with em ... soo i am thinking they may be good

the rod is literally the weak link in these little 2 strokers ..... all manufacturers are susceptible ..... too heavy they dont run right ... too light and they are weak and both effect the reciprocating mass ..... whatcha gonna do

warrantying any failure in these engines is a slimy can of worms

once they are fired up the warranty is basically null and void ... the one that there wasnt really in the first place .... but .... especially since you personally replaced the rod there would literally be no warranty expressed or implied from ANY manufacturer whatsoever ... that unfortunately is the nature of this beast

hope this helps

Which is the best engine for a truggy Mito-7, Paloma, Elite-8, or Legand-7. Any advice is welcome.

Virtus .21/S

Hy. Sorry for bad english.. Is there anybody driving a Virtus 21/S offroad? What is your run time with Nova 9901 in a medium dusty track? Which venturi? Novarossi provides 5.4 to 8 mm venturi....
Thanks

I've run the virtus in the past. Usually a 7mm venturi. Runtime was never the best with the virtus I used to make about 8 minutes with it.

understand this totaly but have never heard of a new rod that is not going
through the stress of breaking failing. so called anwser rc, they said send it in
saying worst cass i would have my engine back in a week so i could fix it up
and still finish the summer racing. novarossi looked at photos sent to them
and desided they needed to look at the engine, they then took 3 months
to say thay do not warranty replacment rods.
