Trying to find out what's the difference between the mito 7 and the rex legend 7 looking at one for my truggy and not sure if the extra money for the mito7 is worth it as they look basically the same motor.

I was super impressed with it. My buddy was running one in his 3.0 buggy. Wasnt even fully broken in yet and it was ripping hard from bottom to top and SILKY SMOOTH. Was also getting between 10:30-11 min runtime he claimed. He said he was running Drake's set up down to a t. His ride and Mito 4 were suuuuuper dialed. I surely wouldn't hesitate. If I wasn't getting a Triton next, I would get a Mito 4 or r5t 3.0 decisions decisions....

Hope a really different engine compare to 4btt/xx

Does anyone have any experience with the new Mito 4? How does it compare to the earlier keep off and btt models? Might be ordering one every soon. Thanks!

The Mito 4 has more torque than the BTT. It is also smoother, with a little more top end. Runtime is about the same. It's a very good buggy engine.

The engines are different. The legend 7 is the same as the keepoff 7.
The Mito 7 is more like the Virtus. They use the same piston sleeve rod, but different crankshafts, and case.

The Mito 7 is smoother with more top end than the Legend 7. The legend 7 has a snappier powerband, with less top speed.

Cheers for that

Nova guru's.....

A buddy of mine ( who runs strictly electric) won a Rex engine as a door prize ( and a guy who runs strictly nitro won a ESC/Motor combo, go figure right). Its a Rex Revenge .21. I need some info about it. The only thing I can find is that it is a 3 port motor.

Can anyone elaborate on that and give me some specs or characteristics of this motor. Possibly a price. Rex-USA sells them with a pipe for $220. He is looking to sell it but has no idea what its worth. Im thinking about $150 or so retail....

Any help would be great.

Not that keen on the 4btt although seems to be a good 4 port but I couldn't find a thing wrong with the mito 4. I loved it STOCK. I can't imagine it modded :D

It's a low cost 3 port motor with steel bearings.

A guy won one locally and has been running it. It's not slow, and it seems to get pretty good mileage.

Anyways what is stock gearing on your truggy ? and what truggy is it ?

And I thought you were running a buku with stock spring stagger settings....did you change that ?

If you are running a Buku composite with stock stagger settings in a Truggy that is geared up a tooth over stock the bottom end is going to be lacking...just gearing a truggy up a tooth has a big effect on it, adding in a staggered composite clutch and its really going to labor..

As for the pipes... the longer manifold will likely give you better low RPM performance, but at some cost to your top end...right now your looking for more bottom end so I am going to suggest you go to a longer manifold.....However if you are indeed geared up a extra tooth then I am going to tell you to hold off on any pipe changes and put your car back to stock gearing...also what size carb insert are you running in it ?

lol got to disagree with you there. Why would they hard coat an internal part that isn't even seen from outside the engine for cosmetic purpose? I think it would be for an operational advantage like aiding fuel flow.
