Usually it will be hard to turn-over when cold, but after 2-3 gallon, it shud be easier. Take into consideration the fuel u used as some will make it harder to turn-over

Ya man, I ran with you a few times down at Lester's back in 2007-08 or so when I first got into buggies! You helped me out with set up and some tips. I was runnin a P5 and you were doggin on Novas a little- shame shame. Glad to see you are runnin Novas. Are you still running at Lester's?

About the pipe- I would try a 9886 or 2096 with either a 41021 or 41020 header and the new Odonnell V2 277T plug

I have a Rex plus 8 with 9901/41021 combo in a 8ight-t 3.0. Is that a good combo for a truggy?? Just seems like it has no go... Ran at PNB last month and struggled on backstretch. 6.5 restrictor in it. I'm going to run same combo in buggy tomorrow to see if it is engine or truggy.. Any help would be appreciated. I'm running stock clutch setup.

Quick tuning question. Is there any tuning differences between a Plus4 carb and say an OS based engine?
I'm finding it hard to find the sweet spot between a lean bog LSN and to rich LSN with big idle gap causing a really high 2 stage idle from WOT to stop. Been doing adjustments down to 1/16th turn. What am I doing wrong?

I have a spare 21J carb off an OS Speed. Anyone run that carb on a Novarossi?

Thanks,

Is what other crank can I use in it.I was thinking about getting the 15007 crank but don't know for sure if it'll work so need ur guys input on this and will it run the same or more power ect .. that pipe combo will mellow the power change to a 41001 manifold...get rid of the 6.5 insert, that is choking the engine.....

Stock Kyosho shoes, 1.0 springs with a 8.0mm Novarossi insert. My HSN is definitely not to lean. 41001/9886 pipe.

Actually the HSn could be your issue...

how do you tune ? are you trying to tune the LSN before the HSN ? also what fuel you using ? some really crappy fuels out there these days

Bryons 30% with 11% oil for first gallon. Engine is still pretty tight, ~1/3gallon through it.
Tuning HSN first, long WOT runs on pavement. Once the top end runs "clean" I've leaned it out another hour or two.

I seem to always struggle tuning a Novarossi. All my other OS engines, Samaurai, FX tune with ease and run strong all day. I can never get my Novarossi to come back in to a nice steady idle for 10secs then drop like my other engines. If I do get to that point I get a lean bog on the low end once the engine warms up nice and hot at the track.
I tune only when the engine is hot, and chassis is saturated... I feel like there is a different method to tuning a Novarossi.. Or maybe they just don't return to a idle as nice as other engines....
