The only reason I referred to it as a monster on the bottom is because I drove one with identical pipe/clutch and car even an it had 10x the bottom

I haven't pulled a head shim, is it recommended when running 30% ? An yea I have the 3 needle carb. I cant really find much about it for a starting point.

You can run 0.6mm but you need to run a colder plug like a #7.

My brother is picking up an Elite 5 for his truggy, is a 9901 and 41001 a decent combo for that? Or would a 9853 and some other manifold be a better fit?

The reason I ask is that I was thinking about replacing the 9901 on my buggy with a 2096 and I have a 41001 laying around he can use along with the 9901...and this gives me an excuse to pick up a 2096. He's on a pretty tight budget, so any money he could save would be great.

9853 will focus on low end, 9901 good but less top, 2096 smooth low n better top. Manifold i personally run 41021/41033/41032 and can race at all tracks

Your best bet when you're looking for parts is to find the engine on Novarossi's site: http://www.novarossi.it/2012/index.p...nd-28-8ps.html

Pull up the expoloded view: http://www.novarossi.it/2012/images/...END-28-8PS.pdf

And take the part number of what you're looking for (22812) over to Novarossi Direct: http://www.novarossidirect.com/22812_p_2398.html

I'd recommend you verify that is what you need before placing your order.

Thanks for the reply. He's decided, for now, to use a Dynamite 086 he has on hand. I'll loan him the 41001 to try on that pipe sometime.

I just got a novarossi 4BTTA WC and I was wondering what pipe to run. I have the option of a reedy 2035 and reds 2104. What would each of these do?

if your starting off with a new sleeve get one of the domed "team" pistons for the motors with the same bore at stroke like the elite 5 comes with
