yeah the 21-4 has a 14mm crankshaft and 21-7 has a 14.5mm crankshaft.
Also Novarossi have started messign with the bearing sizes again just so people can't buy 3rd party bearings on the cheap.. "patented".. ugggh...

Thank you. So does the the 21-4 use a 25.8 bearing? I was confused because when I searched 'keep off bearing' under amain a tko 14x28 comes up for 21-4

Yeah we need to separate our apples from our pears here, 21-4BTT uses a 25.8 but I think the Keep Off uses a 26mm bearing where Nova has it patented and it seems to be impossible to buy it anywhere unless you buy the Nova bearing which costs like one million dollars a piece.
As far as I know the only difference between the BTT and the Keep Off 4-ports is the bearing size and therefore slight difference in crank case. Other than that all the parts numbers appear to be the same.

I'm referring to only keep off 21-4. This link from absolute has a 25.8 for the keep off 21-4 i believe. At least that's whats written on the bearing in pic. Just confused why amain has a 14x28 listed for keep off 21-4.

The keep off uses the same size bearing, in terms of diameter, its the internet race that's different in terms of width. The internal race is 4mm

14x28 bearing size as written here

HomicidalBunny 11-03-2014 01:16 AM

It says 14x25.8 on the outer race of the bearing in the absolutehobbyz link..

well duhhh.. did you read his post?

that is what he is saying.. and why he is confused, because too is making a bearing for the same engine and list a different size, thats why i said its a typo...

Ok, how big is the difference in width? enough to exclude you from using a 3rd party bearing?

Edit: some googling later and it says:
14x25,8x6mm
vs
14x25,8x5,7mm

So 0.3mm difference in the bearing size.

Pulse_ 11-03-2014 05:44 AM

is there a way to know the factory needle settings of a +4 BTT?

rallyebmx 11-03-2014 06:11 AM

Thanks for the help on the bearings guys
