I can get roughly 30 seconds longer run time with the 2096 over the 2058 at Family Hobbies. I ran a lean LSN at family one time and was able to run for a little over 13 minutes on a tank to empty with the 2096 but I average just about 12 minutes with a good tune and driving right
Does the 9901 have the most bottom? It seems most guys run the 9901. I'm wondering why? Which would you say is the best balance of power or the most linear? How do rate them for fuel mileage?

What's it based on or closest to in the regular Novarossi line?
its a plus 4 , none of the plus 4 line of engines are so different that they are very discernible from one another , they all run very good , the beat4 is the older sleeve design which many guys prefer , like the plus 21-4c team

THe 9901 has the most bottom end, but I feel faster with the 2096 because I don't get excessive wheel spin. The buggy just squats and goes, on bigger tracks I have geared up to a 14 tooth clutch bell in my Mugen X7.
I feel the best power and most linear is the 2096, followed by the 2058
Worst fuel mileage would be the 9901, middle of the road mileage but still good is the 2058. best mileage would be the 2096.

I still have my 9901, but it stays in the pit bag and I sold the 2058 since I started running the 2096.

I'm having trouble finding the bearing size for the beat b4 online. Does anyone have that info handy? i wasn't sure if it was any different from the btta or p4. I know the inner race is longer, but i know its not necessary. thanks for the help, stuck at work and trying to order lol.

With the 2096/4021 combo, how's the top end compared to other motors on the track? Also, what venturi do most guys run?

Its a 14x25.8mm rear (nova 16800)
7x19x6x6.3mm front (nova 17011)

any 7x19x6mm will fit but I would highly recommend 17011

I got to say, I think Nova's are the best engines on the market...I love my BTTWC best engine I have ever had.

Will the Plus-4 line be enough power in truggie...

Do you mean RE 12? That should be the same as a 9901...

Hey Guys/Gals,
The rain finally let me have a practice so today I tested my buggy fitted BTT WC geared 44/13 back-to-back with the 2096/41001 to the 2084 then both with a 41030 and then back to the starting point. I finished the day liking the 2084/41001 but left wanting that little more speed down the straight, what should I try next? The 41019 or the 9901, gearing 46/14 or ???

Thanks for any input,
Michael.

Default Flame outs

I have a keep off 4. Motor tunes and runs awesome during the day but my problem seems to be at night. Temps fall and the air gets very thick and humid so much so that there is dew on everything. Managed to win the b main with a c6 and two flame outs. For the a main I raised the idle and ran the c5 to still have the motor flame. I seen two other keep offs flame in that main so I am not the only one.
I have heard that some people run the p4 and I was wondering if that plug will fit without ruining the head button threads? And is it hotter than the c5? I would still like to run the c6 when I can but am thinking I need a hotter plug at night in these conditions.
What Venturi are people running? I have the white one in it now.

I would not advise using OS plugs in Novas. It wont hurt the threads, all turbo plugs use the same thread but the taper is a bit different. It usually works but could leak or could leak if you go back to a nova plug.

If you were talking to me, no it's not. I have personal experience with it. It's worse the other way, Nova plugs in an OS WILL DEFINITELY leak. The other way is less of a problem but can still happen.
