No worries :)

BTW: If you REALLY want's to show your appreciation, you can send me 50 bucks!

JUST KIDDING :-D

I've been a firm believer in small venturies. Sometimes I need more power in the slower parts of tracks (so you don't have to use WOT to clear small jumps etc.). So from now on, I'll change to bigger inserts, if I haven't got enough acceleration. The mileage shouldn't be worse and you'll have extra power when you need it.

Hi, I know that venturi measure do you recommend for the Roma, 6 or 5.4mm?

Thanks. Best Regards.

I did a search 1st and did not find anything on the +4 Keep-Off, other than the rear bearing post.

Walked into the hobby shop and everyone was tweaking on it, sooooo it came home with me.

Been doing P5's and keep seeing the +4's, BTTA or BTTS's and saw a Mugen version with weekend.

My boy (who run's +4 Tuned) has pretty much stop speaking to me since buying this motor. Anything I need to know about this motor? Do's/Don't's.

Hi Guys, Do any of you select your glow plug based on air temps as per the nova temp chart? Reason being, I had a flame out which cost me 4 places when my gut feeling said change from C6 to C7 due to high ambient temps. After the race, i spoke to a few guys who also run Nova and one said they never select plug based on air temps and he would have run the C5 in the hot conditions. The air temp was around 28 deg C so borderline on C6/C7 plug. The guy who ran C5 had a few flames himself... any advise?

R u in Australia, I'm in Brisbane And I tried the 5 in hotter conditions, but waited tilling was about 38 deg and felt it wasn't an improvement. I will be staying with the 6 plug probably all year round.

I only change to a colder plug, if the engine can idle for a minute or so and then take the throttle without farts and burbs.
Colder plug = a little leaner setting and better mileage

anyone want an ebmods powerplate for the novarossi 26mm bonito/keep off 7 port/ext.. bearing engines? I got one but did not realize it will not fit my beat 21-4bt. I put it on ebay item #111018876639 but make me an offer if interested.

thanks

I have found that on the older carbs, and most track conditions the 7 is the ticket. If it is a a high traction track and fuel mileage isn't an issue the 7.5 is good

I have a P5 XLT with 1 gallon through it. It was broken correctly and I am running a turbo #5 in it. It ran great all though break in and ran great though its first race weekend but then I started to have issues. I believe I have a air leak somewhere because at times it will run strong but all of a sudden it will bog and flame out. I have replaced the fuel tank and fuel lines and I also have replaced the exhaust gaskets. Is it possible that the front bearing has gone bad? There is a little moisture around the bearing but nothing crazy. I went ahead a bought a #17011 bearing to replace it with. Are there any other things I could check? Like I said its a almost new motor and ran great up until this past weekend. Any help would be great. Thanks

Just watch for the lip on the inner race. You might already know but I wanted to warm you to be careful installing it.

sooooo many times i see where the high speed needle inlet gets a small particle stuck in there and it will wreak havoc on fuel supply

take out hsn , flush system and reset needle to 4 turns out from all the way in , if that doesnt help then yes i would guess either a) front bearing or b) tank/lines (fuel supply)

tip: before you ever hook up your lines , flush out complete fuel system from blowing on the pressure line and having the line that connects to the carb inlet either off to the side or even easier laying in a rag so it doesnt spill everywhere

novarossi carbs have a very fine passage way for fuel to enter through the hsn housing

I have a Plus 4BTT that's seems to always want to run hot and am not sure why ? It wants to always run at 275 with not even a race tune on it yet and too me that seems a bit hot ?

It has about 0.8 gallons through it now. Its been rebuilt with a new piston/sleeve/rod and bearings. Changed the carb out with another Novarossi one i had and still the same result.

Car is new MBX7 and drive train spins free as can be. Its also been made light at 3240g so its not like the engine is having to work hard to push it.

Engine has lost its metal pinch at TDC also. No air leaks in the fuel system.

I just don't know what it could be. Its blowing a nice thick smoke trail all the way from bottom to top end..... ?

Any ideas ? If i try to really race tune it it just gets even hotter pushing 300. But if i ritchen it i loose top end and power and run time.
