I'm no expert, but the difference in stroke if the diameter of ther crank is the same and the rods are both r7 then the difference is where the crank pin is. If it's farther out on the crank it's a longer stroke. I hope I'm not way off....

Ok well that makes sense. I wonder how far off they arey are. I can't find anything on the stroke length of the fms only the toro.
BTW what would happen if they are not the same but really close |
So still curious.
Would the Crank from the RB Circuit 9/10/or 11 work. It sounds like it actually is the FMS crank. Double Slugged/Silicone Ramped/14.5/same stroke length. I saw it on amain for 209 (ouch) |

Yeah I like the fms. I seem to drive better with that engine in my buggy than some of the others. It could use a tad more bottom though. I was more curious than anything else as the crank topic had come up at the same time I was tearing my FMS down. I wouldn't rebuild for sure. It not worth the $$
I have my eye on the X7. A friend just got his xtreme version from Monty the other day. I can't wait to see that thing on the track in his buggy. Has anyone compared (in car) the power between the standard x7 and the extreme. If so how do they differ? |
