9901ss ,2096ss or 2084ss , all great for what youre needing and there is a list of pipes/performance I posted somewhere around here to help you guys out on pipe choice , ill try to find it

What engine to use on a Mugen MBX Buggy :

Plus 4 btts or Bonito, and what pipe combo is the best for this car

Mostly we drive on astrotracks, so lots of grip.We did use the Werks B5 Pro with 2013 pipe

Gr Michel

The plus 4 would be my choice out of those two for sure , unles you can control your buggy at 80mph not too sure about the bonito in the buggy ;)

Can someone please tell me if the 41029 mugen compact header is the same in length as the 41021 header? Thanks

Performance wise they are near identical , volumetrically the 29 is a few cc smaller

For they are just different in the distance from center of openings by about 10mm (ish)

Plus 4 btts!!! The plus 4 line of nova engines are a all around GREAT engine. Out the box, these mills have tons of grunt while being very smooth. The best thing about it is modifications are not necessary.
I really like the these engines strapped to a 9853 pipe with a 41021 header but the 9901 pipe wit 41021 is a good combo as well.

Im currently running a BTT in my Truggy with a 41021/2084 and thinking of going to a Bonito with the same pipe header combo. Can anyone tell me what differences ill see...Thanks

carlton,

TKO makes some really good bearings as well, i run TKO ceramics in my engines and they've last longer than any other bearings i've used. front bearing is only $15 too :D

I figtured people would be full of info on this..anyone??

I personally have no experience with the boneyhoe:D...from what I hear it is a good mill with little modification. I can tell you my truggy has a x7 strapped to it but my second choice for a truggy engine would be the btts. Bottom end is very important aspect of any mill. IMO there must b an abundance of low end and it always has to be predictable and consistent. The plus 4 delivers just that.
I know I dint give you the comparison you wanted but I just wanted to share my opinion of the BEST nova engine to date

Whats the best way to clean these Novarossi pipes. I have had others that get clean with Simple Green and a polish job with Mothers...This 2096 is very tough to get clean and shinny...Thoughts?

all of my polished pipes i cook in an old crockpot full of classic green anti-freeze. remove your springs and gaskets and cook the pipe and header in there for a while, the longer the better. This will removed any baked on dirt and grime on the outside of the pipe, along with oils and such on the inside of the pipe.

Then i rinse them well and wash with simple green to remove any anti-freeze residue. Then you can use Mother Mag/Alum polish to finish them off nicely.

Plain ol antifreeze (full strength) in crock pot on low for 24 hrs ish , pull items out before antifreeze starts to burn

Water and air to clean gobblygook off of inside , pipe will look and run like new

Tip: do not take wifes or moms crock pot ;)
