I seemed to have lost my carb pinch bolt or screw whatever you want to call it. Does anyone know where i can get one off the web. Checked A Main and Tower , A main has about everything but the bolt I need.

Ron, what are the new tolerances for a new crankpin and what would u consider one that had a good life ?

You just need the bolt?

A Main has the whole assembly.

The bolt itself is an M2.5 and 16mm long. Hope this helps.

Engine mount spacers... every time I think im done with this build something new jumps out at me.

Anyone have any tips in getting the throttle unit plugged into the engine?

Sorry about not replying to some of the post lately I've been out of the office for a few days!

When you say "throttle unit plugged in" what specifically are you talking about? I'm assuming that you are not asking how to connect the servo linkage right?

I'm curious what the problem is?

I've got the B5 in my 8T 2.0 with the quick change mount and it fits fine.

Are you needing to turn the carb so it moves freely? If so, just loosen the carb hold screw and turn the carb

I'm looking for setup advice for the B5 in a 8T 2.0.

This thing has crazy power and I need to calm it down on the low end.

I'm running the Adam Drake clutch setup, which is a mid clutch setup, I could make the clutch engage sooner.

I'm running an AE 2035 pipe, which I think is a mid range pipe, I could go to a high RPM pipe.

Anybody have any experiences to share?

Cool .. thanks bub..
but still looking at the pro .. my old B5 lasted 9 almost 10 gallons with no issues and the B2 i had worked great but for some reason the B5 pro is calling my name

I ended up grinding down the top plate of the centre diff casing and then took ~1-2mm from adjustment screw on the slide end pivot ball... Not sure if this was the best thing to do though? How much did you have to turn the mounting of the carb? Do your throttle linkages run at a strange angle now?

That's very odd you had to do all that. Just sold my 8T 2.0 and it bolted right in. As said above just move the carb and link to run a straight link line or you might be buying a new servo soon. Kinda curious on what's going on. Can you post any pics?

I ran the same setup but never wanted to calm the motor lol anyhow a few things can be tried. My friend has his EPA on the throttle at 80% so that the carb doesn't open all the way. When I want mild running but great power, I slap on the werks 2058 vs my 2013. Or try running 2 soft with carbon shoes and 2 med soft with blue alum. If you can't figure it out send it my way lol or slap the 3 port in :D

Anyhow I'm looking for a clean b5 head for the non pro. I notice amain is taking pre orders on the new one. Any one can tell me a release date? Or where to find the stock old one? Or any one have a lightly used one? My practice motor head is worn and rounded. Time for another. Thanks
