PRO carb and cooling head

Ron,

Will the new carb on the PRO models fit the regular models. If so, where can we get the carbs?

Also, where can we get the new cooling heads?

There is no new carb on the Pro models:lol: The heat shield around the neck of the carb is just made of a different material that is slightly more expensive and does a slightly better job, that's all. It's not worth replacing the carb just for the shield as you will not notice a difference in how the carb functions. Regarding the new heads those should probably start showing up mid July as we are finally starting to catch up on demand.

REALLY wish that LRP had named their new plugs something else......either way, there is no replacement for WERKS................

Cool. I really like the little Teflon piece around the top of the neck that removes the gap between o-ring and case. Also like the notches in the LS needle housing.

all the carbs should have the "notchs" on the ball end....

dreaux 06-19-2011 04:02 PM

Wanted to know what's a good plug to use and fuel. I live in San Diego if that helps.
Thanks

Werks #6 plugs! They work great, I wouldn't use any other plug besides werks with these engines.

Does it matter which nitro fuel is used. For example I could order some werks or byrons 30% online but if I run out then I have to order more and pay a hazmat fee. My local hobby shop carries 30% sidewinder. Would it make any difference on which I use.

Different fuels have different pro's and con's. I would say that most fuels will work just fine but I have found sidewinder the be somewhat hard on bearings etc. Given the three options of Sidewinder, ours or Byrons if it was me using the stuff I would of course recommend ours followed by Byrons and Sidewinder last.

Thanks for the fast reply. I will stick with the Werks and just buy a case of it.
