Quick update, event did not go how I hoped but in speaking to Kortz it seems that he started in 7th, took the lead for several minutes, caught a rut and rolled the car. Was on his lid for a while as a rather large turn marshal took his time getting to him, ended up dead last by the time he got flipped over. Charged back to 5th, set the fastest lap again and just ran out of time to get back into a podium position. Ended up finishing 5/10th of a second behind 4th and 6 seconds behind 3rd. Considering that the lap times on this track are in the 40+ second range that's not bad considering he spent quite a few seconds on his lid waiting for the marshall!

Engine ran flawless and he was really pleased with the performance. So no podium but I'll settle for fastest lap in qualifying, fastest lap in the dash for cash and fastest lap in the main for the B5 and Werks "Race Blend" fuel. Also congrats go out to Taylor James who unfortunately broke in the buggy main but took 5th in the truggy main also running Werks "Race Blend" fuel!

sirKandal, yes he has it working pretty good now, trust me though when I say a lot of testing and development went into getting it to this point. All in all though I think that he is pleased with the car now. MiniCar is indeed the importer for your country so if your looling for a B5 feel free to give them a holler!

BeefHead, glad that you were impressed, think your bro is going to be in for a treat!

Hellsavage, thanks for the update and glad that you liked the performance! Sounds like you are getting phenomenal run time out of it. Let me know if you have given further thought to doing anything for Holland?

Semple, thanks for picking up one of our motors, your going to be please with the B5. Once you get a chance to run it please post your impressions for us. Also if you have any questions or need info please do not hesitate to put a post up asking. There's a good group of guys that run these engines and post on here!

Eagle7, lol! I wish I could have sold and engine like this at this price point years ago!!!

Before I forget I've gotten everyone's PM's and I'm taking care of any pressing issues. I am a little swamped today so I will try to get back to everyone tomorrow.

Regards,

Ron

No firm date on the 2013's fromthe factory yet so.... don't hold your breath on these right now. In the interim the 2057 is almost as good (little less bottom but a little more run time).

Forgot to mention, B5's here in about 7 to 10 days.

If you can't find the Werks or Sirio versions, I'm pretty sure the Trinity pipe that is marketed as being for their .24 truggy engine is a 2057.

Zoom in on the picture and as far as I can see it says EFRA 2057.

?

i just backordered my B5 and can't wait to get it! Just wondering what would be the best pipe the siro 2057 or the AE 2035? I prefer a smoother bottom end if this helps any.

Ron, Do you have any fuel dealers in the midwest. Illinois area. Trying to get some fuel and the hazmat fee from Amain is killing me! Thanks...

I stand corrected as I had some other things in the basket making the TOTAL shipping a Hideous number...lol With just the fuel from Amain it works out to be 31 bucks a gallon. A very respectable price I can live with... making the switch to werks...ASAP

Ok i broke in my b5 this week and ran it. Break in was super easy and trouble free. byrons 30%, os p3 plug....... I tried it first with the 2013 this pipe works awesome, very snappy and punchy on the bottom great power and top end, then I tried the 2057, this pipe was smoother, less punchy on the bottom but still had a lot of bottom and killer topend, seemed to rev a bit higher than the 2013. but both pipes are pretty close performance wise. the 2013 is snappy'r and the 2057 is smoother. Ok, then I swapped it out with a losi re-10 pipe. Had to richen the high needle 3/4 of a turn so you will lose a little runtime (prob 45 sec?). had xlnt bottom and mid and good top. this pipe works pretty well on this engine. top end suffered a bit with this pipe. I was so busy swapping pipes and tuning I did not get a chance to keep track of each of the run times. I would say that the 2057 or the 2013 are both killer and the losi re-10 actually worked good too on this engine and its a lot cheaper and stronger. BUt runtime and topend will suffer a bit. But to most local racers to lose 30 -40 sec a tank and a little top will most likely not have much of an impact. I also threw the b5 in my d8t and it did great in the truggy too. idles perfect, never died once stayed under 240 deg all day on a 95 deg day. Great engine great power from bottom to top. tunes easy and idles great!
