If you're ordering from a-main feel free to back order one of ours. They just got them in today, just have not updated the system yet.

Ron

Actually I just took a look at A-Main's site and new 2010 version of the 2013 pipe set is showing back in stock and ready to ship! They are working on the description for the 2057 and I would expect that to be listed on their site shortly also.

Regards,

Ron

Hey guys, just put a 1 gallon old B5 in my RC8 (thanks Markhat) and all I've got to say is WOW! This thing is ballistic fast, almost scary w/ a 17 tooth clutchbell which is standard. This engine has the old style carb and the needles aren't as tight but seem to hold their position. I richened up the lsn and closed the idle gap to get the idle down while still maintaining 'bat outta hell' takeoff. I can't wait to get to Motorama and get this baby on a track. Also really looking forward to the B5 in my RC8T being fully broken in and getting this kinda performance in my truggy:)!

Good to hear Marshon!! I have another one I may be selling. Originally I was going to keep it, but my love affair with my B7pro is too strong. I really don't care for too much bottom (I know that sounds wierd), and I'de rather have that transfered to the top of the band like the B7 does. Basically I pin it and occasionally turn. ;)

I say "may selling" cuz I think I am going to a .28 in my truggy. It's getting hot rodded and I need to make sure that's the plan before I let my B5 go. I'll know next week if you PM me. I sent all my motors (4) this week to the mod shop, so for $20 I had him throw a fresh pinch on it. It will basically need to be broken in and has a gallon on it.

Hey guys. Need some help quickly. I am putting together the b-5 right now. I noticed that the carb body does not seat all the way down to the o ring. I pushed pretty hard but can still see a slight sliver of white.

The white part that I am talking about is the plastic casing around the body of the carb at the bottom

any ideas

dishsoap 02-17-2010 11:37 PM

FUDGE!!!!!!! Cant get the thing to sit flush on the block. Funny thing is when I push down it slides back up on its own.

dishsoap 02-18-2010 01:43 AM

Never mind. I got it. Just took some extra twisting to get it all the way down. Man its a tight fit. Thats a good thing.

Engine is looking sweeeeeet in my sons buggy. I am jealous.
