John, Stick with the 86 for now and get it dialed in.

I ran a 9886 the last 2 weeks with the full mod on my buggy. It's off the hook. More will be revealed when i run it on the outdoor tracks. Believe me the 086 style pipes work pretty well. I will be testing the OS 2050 and the EB Mods 2041 shortly. Throttle response is very crispy on the tight indoor track i've been running on and the mid/top power is way big. Can't wait to get it on a big track.

I run the Stock JS and was using a 086 no complaints, I ran it this weekend at the Airtronics race with a RE11(losi pipe) Was like a whole new engine more bottom end and the engine just kept pulling down the straights run time was 10min 12sec. I like the JS better then the speeds. All around great engine.

To attend most races in Europe, pipes need to be EFRA approved and rumour has it that anything "below" 2039 will not be approved this season.
So basically, what we'd be looking for is a newer pipe with performance similar to the 2013?
Thanks for the info on this subject. It's really helpful.
