Try www.teamtrinity.com. It's probably better to call them via phone.

Cool cranks

Can some one tell me the diameter of the evo 111 EFRA crank bore????.
It should be no more than 7 mm. can some one confirm this.
The IFMAR crank bore is over 8 mm. These are the ones snapping in this country.
Has any one snapped an EFRA crank???.
Regards

Sirio engines are really fast but just read some of the posts on the previous pages. The materials and components are crap and are no where near as durable as Nova based engines. Sorry to step on Sirio lovers' toes in their own thread, but I'd pick pick Novarossi or RB over Sirio 10 out of 10 times. If Sirio improves their quality, durability, and customer service, i would consider thier engines..

Can anyone confirm the part# for the rod, pin and clip for EVO3? I'm looking at Trinity Shopatron and it doesn't say what version of the motor these items are for.

S12070020 Rod
S12060010 G Clip
S12051020 Wrist Pin

Also, anyone knows how many clips are in a bag? Got regionals coming up in 2 weeks and with all the rods breaking, I'm a bit nervous... Just going to be save and change the rod Saturday night before the last qualifier and main.

Thanks.

You can get the part numbers by going to the Sirio web site which shows the construction of the engines with part numbers:

http://www.star-motor.com/

I think there are 10 clips in a bag. I don't think it's the rods that are breaking, but the crankshft, although I have 2 of these engines and I have no problems.

Yeah, I saw that pic, and those part numbers on shopatron don't match.

Crank breaking....hmm... that would be a really bad thing. I've read the last few pages and keep thinking it's the rod breaking. So where are people breaking in the crank?

Default Help!!!!

Anybody who can help me to teach how to break in my s12-tup pro 5 port
Im planning to use %20 on it, what is the good way procedure to break in that the engine will perform its maximum ability and to last longer.

Also what if i mistakenly dialed the needles how will i get to factory setting?
#from factory setting----how much turns?
#from closed settings----How much turns?

Should i make changes with the 3rd needle also?

Thanks

the ifmar crank has a bore of about 9.5mm, and the efra spec is under 7mm, but there one BIG problem if your hoping the efra crank is stronger because the cranks are identical but to make it efra legal they have pressed an insert down the crank bore to reduce it to 7mm. how rough is that

and another big problem, my efra legal crank snapped in half today for no reason what so ever, not impressed at all. will be sticking with reliable nova rossi motor from now on
