so how would it be held in place.. the only thing to hold it is the flywheel.. so it has to spin at the same speed of the engine... so i don't get how it won't spin at the same speed... tell you what make one and let us know hoe it works for you...

edit>>>

ok so you want the grease to hold it in place.... ok that is not gonna work... but you can try it

you have to learn how to tune your pinch bolt in order to stop bearing leaks

The Buku one does not spin because it fits over the engine, but grease is tacky, you seem to be trying to argue when I am only asking if it is possible, and the flywheel does not sit against the bearing there is a slight gap, or the buku cap would not work, and I know the Buku caps are much thicker than a shim. it might or might not work. You might even be able to have one made with a short tabs that you could bend to clip onto the case, this would be similar to the buku caps, but at $20 for 3 and a metal one would in theory last longer than a plastic one and it would also be thinner and if you could stamp them it would be much cheaper. for that matter you could possibly machine one identical to the buku from an alloy instead of a plastic, but the cost would probably not be as cheap.

The buku system has brass shims that go between the collet and bearing. I get what your trying to say, I just don't think it could be feasible.

RB released this about a year ago. Still can't use it with a recessed flywheel

A local RB racer said he had used that- but it just worked ok.

I think the grease would be the key.

i made my own out of .05" brass it fits just like the buku. doesnt spin took all of 10 minutes to make. the sheet of brass was $2.79 and i can make like 20 of them maybe more. i wasnt going to pay $20 for three pieces of plastic so now i'll just make them when i need one

Don't lean your pinch bolt out to much or your boost bottle will leak. Its a fine line we walk...

Monty, I finished the 1200 cc on the engine today, it runs great I absolutely love it. Many of the drivers here are also interested in it. I am amazed how smooth the power is but how much bite it has. A few of the bigger jumps on the track I can stop and do a VERY short run up and it clears them with ease, but unlike the OS Speed I don't break loose with it. There is only one thing I noticed today, I thought at first it was because I was still rich on the straight about 3/4 to 7/8 of the way down it makes a noise, not a lean bog noise but a weird noise, not loud I thought maybe it was just a bit rich but when we leaned it out later on it still did it a bit, not that worried about it unless you think I need to be, it is almost a gurgling type noise, like it is too rich. Never hot or anything and runs like a champ. Thanks for the great workmanship, I just wish I had got one sooner. What engine do you recommend for a truggy? The X7FM or the X5LFM? I also think there are a few people interested in Fusion today, if I do good in the race Tuesday I am sure more will be interested. Do you have the new competition heat or the original model? I have a guy that loves mine and wants me to order him one. Also how long do you usually run a glow plug before changing it? I usually put a new one in every race and then save my old ones for my play engines

U sure it was to rich on the top and not to lean? Does it continue to pull when the noise happens? Or does it go flat?
