Thanks for the info! Just trying to get idea on what to expect from my new H.E.S. x3L that I am waiting on. I just added 2% castor to a fresh gallon of fuel so I am ready! Thanks Again!

My home track in Tallahassee has a 40ft triple which I clear with ease.

Thanks. Since that video, which was filmed during our April race, the city has built us a new drivers stand. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fb...type=1&theater
We will have the first race of our point series Saturday.

Just took my plus 4 out for a spin with my new 2096 pipe. Coming from a 2058 pipe I had to lean the HSN approx 1.5 hours and richen the LSN about an hour. Not sure of total time per tank but its some where in the 11 to 11:30 range (street tires blew apart and its not a race setting). Before I richend the LSN when it would get about 100 to 125 feet into a full throttle run it would emit a second puff of smoke and reach another rpm almost like a 2-speed in an on-road car or a 3 needle carb. Any body experience that before? I got it to do it a couple times so I know it wasn't a fluke air bubble. once i richened the lsn slightly and opened the idle gap it went away. Trail of smoke is good, no lean bogs, smooth pull from idle, and temps are about 235 to 240. Just wondering if I should have leaned the HSN instead of richening the LSN?
This pipe is pretty badass cant wait to see what it does sunday at the track.

I just picked up a novarossi 421bx. It will be going in a mbx6. However I can't find much info about it online. Can someone give a little insight? I also want to put a turbo head on it but can't find one. What will fit? Header pipe combo? Montey- the p5xlt is running great I'm very pleased. Nuts are still up but I'll change that this week since I have a race next weekend. Any help regarding the 421 would be appreciated.

421 is an 8 port nova
all your typical suspects as far as pipes will work

should be able to use part #28002 for head button unless its a 6 bolt head then , sorry about your luck seriously though , gonna be very difficult to find that 6 bolt turbo head button , if you need one i will dig through the archive parts for ya

Well of course it's a 6 bolt. If you could find one that would be great

Was it a gradual throttle pull or did u pin it? This is usually how I tune mine for break-in while doing gradual trigger pulls. In which case both needles are fat and still in process of lapping in p/s

It was with either a smooth roll on or a "pin it to win it" The extra puff of smoke didn't seem related to a throttle position but more of a engine RPM. BTW this motor is on its 4th gallon. I think I will be able to lean it down, but I need to be a the track. running up and down the street is hardly a test for a offroad motor. Its close now so I should be ok for sunday.
While it can't be to detrimental to the engine, I don't think it would be helpful to my driving

Ya too hard to get a good track tune on concrete. I'm thinking u will be leaning it a lot more. At 4 gal that thing should be primo.
