Yes and no. The answer depends on the motor and what kind of power you want out of it.
Thanks 1airborne |
Monty, How much would you charge me to do the "service" on my Traxxas Pro .15 and throw some new Avid bearings in it?

Lets say I have a p5xlt which is a motor know for a lot of low end torque. What you are saying is, if I want more torque I should use a torque pipe and if I want to mellow out the torque of the motor I should use a rpm pipe.
Thanks 1airborne |

Monty,
My buddy Scott raced his new Fusion X3 Lighting Extreme this past Saturday and absolutely loved it. He convince my to buy one myself. I ordered one and will be picking it up this weekend. If they break-in and run anything like Eric Fletcher's engine we're going to be real happy. While I'm at it, how does the 2096ss compare to the 9901ss on that engine? |

Procedure for a resized p/s re-break in
Preheat the engine to at least 170° , prime the fuel into engine by blowing into pressure line from pipe , fire it up , tune low speed and idle so engine runs between 190-210 with head cover on , idle for 5 min , repeating process 3 times , cooling in between ,be sure piston is out of "pinch zone" when letting cool Then repeat preheat and prime process , retune engine for an in balance carb that is just a lil rich and runs between 190-210 with no head cover , run car on the ground for 3 x 10min cycles , then on the track and be kinda nice to it for a bit |
Thanks.

Ya the lm pipes werk pretty good on nova based engines
2013 & 2058 Wknd was good , track was fun Tq in truck , ended up 2nd , i drove like an idiot for a few laps , thats all it takes Buggy qual'd 3rd ended up 3rd after 2 flame outs in main , i am still breaking in that special X5 sooooo well we all know how that goes when an engine drops its nuts in a main:cry: |
