There are very companies that treat customers like they should. I appreciate and give my business to those I feel treat customers like they matter. HES is one of those companies.

Wow , i dont know what to say

Fwiw , i havent been forthcoming with x5 internals but let me say there is a reason they are more than another 5 port , i cant say anything about internals but trust me when i say the engine is worth every penny and then some , think X7 ;) but 5 port with extras :D

Ahh...the Crono RS5/RS7, man those were some awesome engines. The RS7 was a missile right out of the box. They were fuel hogs though but then again they were on the much older carb with the 2 chamber pipes. I will never forget the sound & top speed of my RS7 on the 9886 and short header in a buggy. I bet that wail could be heard half a mile or more away from the track. :D

pipe

I posted this question on the novi thread but no one answered. Maybe you could help me. Thanks in advance, Houston.

Just as a general rule, with a high rpm motor would you use a high rpm pipe? Just like a torque motor would use a low end pipe. Just generally speaking. I know there are a lot of variables that come into play.

I've been in the hobby since '94. Never had such great customer service. This man not only answered my phone calls personally, answered my emails, & hit me back with text messages but he also managed to recommend the right components to suit my needs not driven by the love of money. I've never had a sponsor but I imagine this is what it feels like. I'm really looking forward to the "full montied" x7 that I've ordered from him. It will be my very first nitro engine and basically my introduction to the nitro side of our hobby period. I've been an electric guy my whole life until I've recently purchased my rc8t. I will be very proud to fly those H.E.S decals on my truggy.

Thank you Monty.

Donovan.

Hey Monty, been awhile since I spoke up on the P5 you sold me for my Truggy. Just wanted to say. The engine flat out rocks. Love it. Thanks again!

Yes and no. The answer depends on the motor and what kind of power you want out of it.

Hi, I would like some opinions for my new engine to put in a buggy. My LHS has only Sworkz S7 available but I'm also browse online for Nova P5XLT. The price difference is around $120 (S7>P5). Which one should I get? Is S7 performance worth the extra money? Thank you in advance.
