Hi houston

I have a P3XS and was just wondering if the 9901 and 41021 pipe/header set-up would be a good choice. I am mainly looking for good runtime (10min+) and a bit more top end without losing bottom end. I was also wondering if i should also change my venturi from the standard 8mm (red) to the 7mm to also improve runtime and top end.

What are your recommendations?

Thanks,

9901ss/41021 will work awesome on that engine, runtimes are often depicted by track surface and layout , as long s you dial your car to the track and surface yoy will achieve maximum runtime but some tracks with long straights and lots of full throttle shutes will get horrible runtime and tracks that are shorter with not much full throttle will yield excellent runtimes , something to keep in mind

you will be fine , shimming is more of a range , if you have a fe gallons of fuel through the engine you will be dialed

Houston, would you mind posting starting point needle settings for a broken in p5xlt running 25% shimmed to .70 with a 97t and 086 at around 75* ambient? Thanks!

depends on fuel and a few other things but around 4.25 turns from bottomed out on lsn and 3-3.25 turns on hsn , idle approx. .6mm

Not sure , doubt it but I will ask him, never know

Who knows, though I doubt it. Here in Australia the first name Shane and surname Kelly is extremely common amongst white Anglo Saxon Australians.
Smith is also a very common surname here.

hope everybodys engines are running killer , post some feedback good , bad or ugly if you wish guys , thanks a bunch

totld1 08-18-2011 05:54 PM

Both of my H.E.S. tuned fusion (x3 & x7) engines are awesome. I feel the mod on the x3 monty has done is a perfect balance for my agama buggy and the x7 moves my truggy in any direction i want and in the directions i put it in, sometimes i dont mean to put them there but they end up there...lol The more time i put on these engines the smoother & better they become.....Great job Monty
