Is nova discontinuing the Toro Nero? Replacing it with the bonito?

yes they already have , the engines are so close to identical besides the aesthetics that you wouldn't be able to tell them apart ;)

i have one bonito and one toro team left :)

OK Monty,

Part two of my brain teaser series. LOL. Saw on another thread you were going to provide info on the filled cranks. Looking to hear what you have to say on that. The main reason for the post is headers. As to which one to use and why? What will changing from one type to another do and not do to or for the powerband. Hopefully this won't require the huge ammount of typing for you.

Oh and the new Blue heads, what would one of those run should I want one to be different.

HELP! anyone and everyone

OK i have a novarossi plus 4c and a novarossi fms "team". when i come in for a pit stop and fuel it up with a bottle and throw it back out it will run fine until the first corner and then flame out. i know it is richening up drmatically because when i start it up again i have to clear it out. i am running the fms in my truggy and the plus 4 in my buggy. both mugens with a clunk modification and the tank is 100% sealed...im sure of that. i was told that the low end may be too rich but if i lean the low it will not run the way i expect it to. both of these motors will idle through a whoile tank if i let them so i know the tune is very close. seems to me if the low speed needle is the cause then it must be off tune quite a bit......Please anyone and everyone give your input. btw both of these motors are in immaculate condition as far as the internals. boths have been reworked by mr houston himself with the help of raya racing resizing about a gallon ago.

On this one I will say read back on the bazillion posts that this has been explained already ;) lazy focker!

You should get the whole X7

performance difference wise, filled vs. unfilled is not a huge difference, there is a minor advantage to the filled crank in low end throttle response but in my experience the filled crank also brings the engines idle down to a smoother idle quicker and more consistently, you won't get as much of the two/three stage idle sh!t.

be careful who you have fill your cranks and resize your sleeves these days, everybody and their brother thinks they are experts at it ;)

if its happening on both your engines i would try a newer plug.. or maybe try some other fuel...

just a suggestion if its happening on both your engines

Using byrons 30% with 11% oil. C6tgc in plus4c and c6tgH in Fms. Both new at beginning of day. I will try some 97 t plugs and go from there.

Huh, thought I mentioned something about a 97T yesterday at the track :sneaky::lol: And I still think your rich on the bottom but you can't tell because you have it masked with to large of a idle gap...

well to large an idle gap will definitely cause that to happen

Figure it out for yourself froto and you will learn for yourself what makes that happen;)

That's the way you personally learn bro ;)

I always check and set idle gap.. .7mm. And actually the motor blew up today. Brass bushing on bottom of conrod disintegrated inside of motor. Was wondering y I went through 3 plugs the past half gallon. Conrod cracked slightly by bushing. Not too bad after about 12 gallons.

12 gallons.... hey time for a new motor....

PERROTTO 04-03-2011 08:27 PM

This motor was hard to let go of. So much power and reliability until recently.
