Hey Monty,

I reshimmed my Toro Nero this weekend from the .8 to .7, I also changed my clutch springs to 1.1 from the stock 1.0 (MBX-6 kit) and changed the header to the 41030. It was INSANE when I pulled the trigger of my M11X as I watched the buggy throw clay at every stab of the throttle, I wasn't even able to get tghe power down to make the main jump at the drivers stand LOL. I ended up putting back the 41029 manifold (short) and with a slight richening of the bottom end it was perfect mix of bottom end power and insane top end.

I love this engine!!!!!

Sean

Oh baby !! Toro in a buggy , craziness fershur

As with any less expensive temp probe check it against an exergen while engine is up to temp and remember the difference for future reference

FMS engines are still on special :)

And James , if you want to try and discredit me , please do it in my thread and not rays , I was trying to help you out at first just like I was when we first talked about your novarossi engine . I have many happy customers and many great running engines out there , so please keep the snide comments here

Happy motorin',
Monty

Got a Plus 4 Team HES style;)
Has a gallon on it and still can't turn it over because of the pinch.
Over 10 minute run times already and more than enough power for my buggy.

hey monty. i run the fms mill un mod and was wondering what shims = what. is it .7 to run 25 % and .8 to run 30 % as i want more poke as it doesnt have that pop i was expecting from it. i have the 29 header and 2084 pipe and the 8mm was 7.5mm restrictor in in a mbx6t. any thoughts oh and it is 77 plug. i run 25% at the moment too, temps mid 25 c engine runs at around 98-105 c after every run. ty. bsc loves that engine and it spins soooo smooth, the 5p will be on the next engine list i feel.:batman:

BSC 08-25-2010 02:44 AM

Oh Yeah love it

You don't happen to be using mugen plastic shoes do ya?

.70-.75mm 25% you can go down to around .65mm but I wouldn't recommend any shorter than that .

FMS.has no grunt ? I ran one Sunday and I found the complete opposite to be true  that thing was a "beast" , TQ'd the truggy class with my buddys mbx6t . I drove his fms so he could tune it while I drove it , I would tell him what to do and got the engine dialed!!! No lack of low end torque whatsoever
