thanks :)

Trying mine with 9901 for a maiden race this weekend. it still pinches a *bit* at TDC but it's almost there after 3L+ of fuel. I ditched the POS stock carb though and put my Plus4's on it, the idle screw is a PITA to get to... Hopefully I can find someone to help me tune this baby at the track as I'm really hopeless with engine tuning

Paul

Let me know how it goes for you. I was thinking of using the 9901 with my Hotmods N21R.

If compression is low leave at .70 , if its pretty good reshim to .80 mm

2084ss/41021 9853ss/41021 if you want more low end grunt but less mileage

Monty

Haven't talked to you since last Friday, Cade has a good race weekend in San Antonio last weekend. He raced in the City Shootou between Austin and San Antonio Texas. Typical Texas heat hovering around 100 all day with dry technical track. San Antonio always does a great job with there races and this one alot of fun.

Cade qualified for A in arena truck and finished 4th at the end of the 30 minute main. The P5XLT was great all day. Cade really likes this motor!

Buggy was different battle all together. Very technical layout for buggies and he worked hard for his qualifying spot and made it in the A but we had fuel line problems during A so it kept us from getting a good finish. Got him back out and he finished 8th. The last 10 minutes he worked on his whips XGames style on their big front double lol. He and Mike Battaile had a little contest going on at the end of the race.

He also finished 2nd with his SCRT10, need to get a nitro version and throw a Nova in it soon!

Thanks for the help as always

Jon & Cade

What do you use to clean the inside of engines before you put them back together and what lune do you use?

of course you can but that is the good stuff

you can fluch the engine with raw nitro fuel just the same if you would like :D

i am pretty meticulous with engine internals ( and i know how to spell  )

keep me posted :D

from everything I have seen putting the shimming up to .8 is going to hurt bottom end not help it...... Maybe I am wrong here, but I have never seen an engine gain bottom end by lowering compression ..... The stock FMS runs a pretty low trapped compression ratio to begin with, if it was me I would be reducing the shim stack, not adding to it if your looking for more bottom end......... sorry to butt in !

i haven't ran it yet so i dont know how it performs.... i just know that novas comes shim at .8 for 30.. so i rather start there get it broken in and if i need more of anything then i just adjust to suit..

I didn't see him say anywhere he was looking for more low end , that wasn't the topic or goal to achieve in this case ? Unless I missed something
