Up untill yesterday, that is the combo I ran. Great for indoor but winds out too early for a large outdoor track imo.

3rd in A-Main. Ran out of fuel on the last lap, got some fuel and restarted out of the pit and ended up 2.6 seconds from second and 1 lap down from 1rst. HES modded +4 team is the sh*t. Had way too much power for the track. We were only able to run 2 quals because of the rain. First qual I had a flame because I was running to rich. Leaned it out and TQ'ed second qual but still rich and didn't figure I was going to finish a 20 minute main with 1 pit so I leaned it another 2 hours. WOW Power was unbelievable. Took a couple laps to get my finger acclimated to the tune but it felt awesome. Running out of fuel on the last lap was due to a flip that released some fuel. Can't win em all.

Ran the standard FMS with 4 gallons on it. Didn't feel comfortable running the new modded FMS on a technical track. Great weekend.:nod::nod:

Do you run 9901/41021 set? If you have too much bottom, you should try the 41001 header:

Less bottom and more top end.

Never had to worry about it before. Yes, 9901/41021 combo. I probably will need to change headers now. I didn't have anytime to practice with this motor. I was planning on club racing the weekend before with it but that's when hurricane Alex came through. Then the rain kept us from practicing this weekend also before the race. I got maybe 1/2 tank on it and raced it. I don't know if anyone has this problem, but if I'm trying to tune and there is too many other cars on the track to hear, then I have to go off of feel. Well, this being a new motor with a lot more power I ended up rich in the first qual. It all turned out good though.:nod:

What's up? I raced at the 2nd Round of the Texas RC Pro Series in San Antonio Texas this past weekend. Like Dennis said we didn't get to practice much due to all the rain, maybe 10 minutes lol. The track was very technical especially in buggy.

I TQ'ed Sportsman Arena truck and finished 3rd, not where i wanted to finish. I stalled my motor under a pipe with no marshall around to help. At the time I was in 1st place with a good lead I think 23 seconds but my wonderful pitman/crew chief(my DAD) had problems with the starter box lol. The battery got disconnected in the box somehow but he got me back out pretty quick. Then a tie rod popped out at the end of the race. I was very happy with my finish considering the luck we had in the main. The new P5XLT Houston Tuned Motor was AWESOME!!!!!!!!

I qualified 6th and finished 10th in sportsman buggy. All I can say is that track was tough for me in buggy. I really needed to practice the night before lol. By the time our main started the track was pretty rutted in the turns and had a lot of grip. The P4 was GREAT. Maybe too much power for that track.

Congrats to Dennis on his great run in both classes! I think we represented HOUSTONS ENGINE SERVICE well over the weekend in Texas!

Also Big Thanks to my DAD who keeps everything running good for me, couldn't do so well without you!

Breakin is coming along nicely on the P5XLT Houston Tuned Monster, got it fired and temps are looking good temping around 210°F - 215°F consistently now and cycling temp and etc. Looking forward to getting it broke in all the way.:)

Also should I keep a couple of 99T plugs in the pit bag in addtion to 97T's regularly?

Also finished second this past weekend in Nitro Buggy with a well tuned P 4 that some guy helped me tune over the phone a few times before...:)
