some keys to not having issues with engine

keep a good eye on your clutch bell bearings
make sure carb is pushed all the way in and locked in well
make sure your air filter doesnt leak any where and is well secured to the engine
use throttle return bands such as pictured

H dizzle I have a question
can you put the 14 mm crank directly in the BF case although it came with a 13 mm crank . Which rod hast to be used with the p5 crank in order to get the correct stroke ??

the n21bf limited has a 14mm crank and is the same borexstroke as the p5 and plus 4 as well as many other nove engines .

the older bf you are refering to has a 13mm crank , a crappy metal carb , a different rod(07030) as well as a few other differences . you must use the parts that came with this engine

the n21r and n21bf will accept the 14mm 15009 , 15009t or 15007t cranks for a huge gain in performance . the R7 rod is also a direct replacement for the n21bf and n21r

Is any sleeve work neccesary to make it into a beast ? how about a turbo button under the head?

are you talking about the n21r limited or n21bf limited ?

sleeve work can enhance performance of course when done right , the crank replacement can really increase performance , a turbo underhead #28002 can also create more performance as well as ceramic bearings . replacing the E1 rod for and R7 will aid in prevention of rod failure .

Yes i was refering to the BF and NR, but also to engines in general. I wonder what the cuts in the sleeve help the engine to do, you know raising port windows and I guess you should lower the exhaust ports and i wrong

the porting is pretty well thought out from the factory

there are many ways to manipulate fuel flows , entry timings, angles and exhaust exiting to create different powerbands

if somebody who knows for sure what engines are made where for RB then please feel free to chime in

It is just like Maximo said, The K9/K10 are the only engines made in Taiwan. The Shark9, the B10 coming out and the Cross10 coming out are still made by Nova.

was just wondering if there is much noticeable difference between the 3ports, N21r and N21bf. I take it they are not making the bf anymore?

There is a little performance difference between the two , not much but a little

Novarossi was using the extra blocks and casting leftover from the discontinued s821b 8 port engine . Now they have exhausted those they are using the standard 5 port block . The n21r is a pretty dam good budget engine IMO and with a little work

Hope this helps speedy

Viva la novarossi !!!
