i dont really like a 53 pipe on the three port but you can decide for yourself on that

i have gotten as good as 10:30 with a 8mm restrictor and dynamite 086hs with a stock p5 in buggy , you can put the 6.5 and get more runtime .

its not too bad of an engine , different characteristics than any other novarossi offroad engine i have seen them work very well in buggy and know alot of guys that swear by them in roundy round cars

Houston what is the best plug and pipe fuel mileage wise for a p5 xl. Also what is the smallest restrictor that I can use.

good setup for p5xl - 9886/421021 for a smooth low end with crazy mid to upper rpm - 9853ss/41005 or 41021 for more bottom to mid and decent upper rpm ( little better mileage)- 9901ss/41021 or 41005 for the ultimate in mileage , odo100 , odo 77 or mc8 glow plug , restrictors are up to you really , i like the 7 or 8mm , usually the 7mm.

all tunings are really relative and depends on what you want out of the engine. p5 and plus4 engines are pretty tuneable as far as pipe , plug and clutch .

Alright Houston, for a truggy: 21-7FMS or P5XL? I need a bad fast engine for this year.

actually both , if you are racing on smaller or looser tracks i would use p5 if you got the room and the traction , the fms is "THE BEAST"

sorry

hey Monty, since I'm not building my truggy now I put the P5XL you built me into my buggy and I'm on the 3rd 3 min heat cycle and @*#° this thing is FAST, got it restricted to 6.5mm on the carb and it's unreal at just short throttle blips, can't wait to get it race tuned!!!
