ya it is but it works pretty good in a 8th scale buggy with a 41021 or 41020 header , performs similar to 9886 .

i would personally run 9886/41021 header at REV in the buggy anyway, in the truggy i like 9853SS/41005

its just that the new carbs are a little different to learn how to tune as opposed to the old short needle versions without the cavity in the slide barrel.

On you Site, for the caption for the 9886 you say that it get 15% less runtime than the 9853. It wouldn't be better to get the 9853 for the buggy. Thank you for all of your input and quickness of response for this. Also what month do you plan on getting race tuned option on your site. Permitting weather in Oregon

on average the 9886 will get less runtime than the low end based pipes such as 9901 and 9853 as it pushes out much more exhaust and revs higher which uses more fuel but makes screamin power .

as far as the "R2R" service back on the website i am not sure on an exact date but hopefully february or so . rain is not a good situation for a break in
i like to break the engines in a car so when you guys get the engines you are very very close to a race tune the first time on the track

happy motorin',
Monty

Hi Monty.

Could you elaborate on the carb difference on the new and old carbs? i saw when we get the +4 that the low end needle is longer than the old carbs of the P5 engines.

Or do i misunderstand and there are two different carbs on the + 4 engines?..

In my mind, one of the reassons that OS had good fuel consumtion and easy tune engines it the stye of their very long low end needel.

Could you ship engines to Norway? Possible one +4 and one +4c?

ohh, and are the 4c a better engine fuel consumption wise? If the +4c has a little more power and respons, it would be even better.

Yes the newer plus carbs have a very long low end needle but also have a cavity in the barrel of the carb which IMO does some interesting things when coming to an idle as far as fuel puddling .

Yes I can ship to norway but shipping will be charged as actual shipping amount added on to the engine price .

I think that most are experiencing a little less runtime because they are pulling the trigger more . By all rights they should be getting better fuel mileage IMO

Thanks,

ofcourse the shippingprice will add on the engineprice :-)

Are the newer carbs only +4c or also the +4

As far as pulling the trigger alittle moore, maybe i just get the standard +4 and make some timing changes to he crank to gett the better response, usually i can make the engines i have to use little les fuel than standard anyway.

The only real major difference between the plus4 and C are a very high quality long lasting ceramic rear bearing and a .5mm I.d. bigger opening in the crank .

For 25$ it is a very worthy upgrade

The timing on the crank intake is the same between these two , oh and there is a C on the plus 4 C head :-)
