Houston, can you help me understand flame outs? I run an RB C6. I switched to #77 Odonell plugs per your recommendation and took my gas cooler off and have not had a single flame out since June. I am on the east coast and the temps are dropping into the 50's and 60's. My engine temps have been rising as the dense air leaned out my mixture. I thought I had it adjusted perfect this past weekend. Not a flame out all day and temps in the 240's. Then in the main, just a ghost flame out in the middle of track while running 8 minutes in. Still plenty of fuel. Restarted and flamed out in same spot so I packed it in, While street tuning tuning today, I had another. Do hotter, lean condiitons lead to flame outs? It is not a rich condition causing these I am pretty sure. My carb gap is almost 1mm or a bit under. I only have a couple of more weekends left and want to enjoy racing, not frustrating flame outs! Thanks!

i would be rich if i could figure that out and prevent it .

overlean low speed with too small idle gap can cause FO , not enough fuel to keep engine running .

intermittent glow plug ignition

lack of pipe pressure , causing overlean conditions

lets just say there are many reasons why flame outs happen

overly rich low with too low of idle gap is also a pretty coom one as well as bad fuel with lack of nitro .

Depends on what you want out of it , 9886/41021 works very well as does the dynamite086hs . If you want more torque try a 9853SS/41005 and if you really want .more low end use 9853SS/41021 . There are a few good pipes that work well with novarossi designs and these are it .

The newer 9901SS is seeming to work very well and yields great run times. The older 9901 lacked serious topend , apparently there has been a change to the internals of the pipe .

I do not use them

They do what they are designed to do for sure but is just another place for an issue to arise within the fuel/pressure delivery system.

I am not saying they do not work by any means , you need to find a really good place to mount it though
