Can someone tell me the best way to test for air leaks on an Rc Motor? Say with a full size car we would spray carb cleaner around the card etc to see if the engine changed RPM. I tried this with contact cleaner around the carb base and the motor died. Put auto silicone just a little around the bottom of the carb and it fixed that area. Went to spray it around the bearing and same thing happens motor dies. Does this mean that the front bearing is gone, or by doing this is something else happening?
Thanks

Submerge under water in sink or Holy Water basin thingy at Catholic church (for OS engines).
Blow into fuel line. Look bubbles.
Never tried the squirt WD40 on the front bearing to see if it stalls due to a leak bit.

Put fuel line on carb, hold finger over exhaust port and carb intake.

Thanks for the help Zerodefect. Allthough I do not have any holy water the sink work great the bubbles looked like a fish tank pump going off. So I guess the contact cleaner also worked got me to ask the question anyway. Know all I have to do is find out the bearing sizes for the front and back bearings.
Thanks to everyone on here for all your help.

Holy water cow! You got alot of Joey Platinums out of your front bearing when you blew into it.
I'd say thats a smokin gun. I just dipped my engine to test this theory. My WS7III-no Joey Platinums. N21b- maybe a little Joey Platinuming but its still good.

Yes i check my Toro as well and it is not as bad but still looks like a mini fish tank. Still more than i think it should be.
Monte, is it possible for you to call me. I need bearings for my Plus 4 and Maybe my Toro Nero motor I see you have the TKO bearings was wondering what the price is on them? What size of bearing is the front and the back on these motors. The Plus for is a new motor bought about 3 months ago. Is it normal for these bearings to go out so soon. The Plus 4 has maybe 1 ½ gallons through it and the Toro has has like ¾ of a gallon through it.
Thanks
