HELP

I am looking to buy a brand new OS Speed for the up coming season. Lately I have heard that OS Speeds are not as reliable as in the past. If you had a choice would you go with another OS Speed or say an Orion or Reedy what motor would you choose.

Is that Adrien Bertin?

gameholic2 02-23-2012 02:45 PM

It looks like a blue effect on the whole pic.
I could be wrong.
EDIT/
MY bad everything else seems ok colorwise so there must be a blue crf lurking in the pits!!
it looks like an nvision cooling head.

He is there but I don't think he drives but only comes to support his drivers but I do like the way the blue head looks

Yes to keep the Midrange smooth you need what will seem like a lean bottom. The HSN will be typical for all other engines, IMO..

I am running a .24 CRF now and yes,it likes a lean bottom. I just can't quite tune out the fat spot in the middle but it does help put the power down and the engine has plenty of power.

I am runn9ing the 2013 pipe. The RE10 worked well to.Have not tried any others yet.Think I am going to try an Ofna 086 next.

Also running a P3 and 25% Byrons Gen II 2500

Try a slightly hotter plug, and richen both needles about 2 hours. Your fat middle will go away, and you'll rip through the RPM range.. I run O'Donnell 77T plugs in mine..

Jared Tebo? He's the only one that drive for both companies, and I haven't seen a pic of his car with an engine in it..

I will also remind everyone of this. Remember the RUN DMC / Cody King video? All 3 cars in that video had Customized Heads on the ORION engines. DMC's engine had RUN DMC, Cody's had his WCE head, and the other guys had his name as well.

Could the custom color and lettering be the next big thing in nitro engines? IE get and Engine with cooling head that has your name in your font and color? I wouldn't be surprised........

For the money you will spend on an OS Speed, you will be just as happy with a CRF 3-port, and a 2013 pipe, and you will spend less on both then you would the engine alone if you buy the Speed..

Not to mention I personally think it'll last longer. It won't be double the life but it'll be longer.
