He is a new video on Neobuggy on tuning your NR engine that you can apply to your RB engine. http://vimeo.com/7595905 |

This is normal, I don't believe you will find two fuels that run the same. For example whenever I sell a customer Byron Gen 2 ( switching over from another brand of fuel) I let them know not to be scared when you start your engine it may be on the rich side. I even help them with the transition if they want me to.

You're welcome!
I agree it is a nice video, its alot easier to see a video that explains the process and allows you to see and hear how it is done. Then to explain it in writing. |

The K9 is not made in Taiwan, it is made in Japan, it's the first new engine that RB has been made specifically for them, RB's design, and specific's.
Shouldn't buy into the Hype here is the K9's clone http://www.nitrohouse.com/catalog/pr...ducts_id=21551 |
I think that the K9 is the clone. RB ran across a bad
arsed little Force engine and put there golden hat on it. Saved them some bucks on the R&D work, huh? I can't wait to see the King Headz edition. |

I am going to say again the RB K9 engine is awesome! I have not had one problem with this engine, starts and stays tuned everytime I start it. It is a true performer for a low cost. I would love try one modified, but as fast and smooth as it already is I think I will leave it alone.
No problem gixxerman, this video is a great tool in teaching someone to tune their engine. |
K9
Aaron, what pipe/header combination are you using on your Killer 9?

Ever since entering 1/8 offroad I've been used RB motors.
Out of service: 1st WS7 RBMods lasted 3.5 gallons before loosing compression. Club Races: S5 that has 4.5 gallons, running strong, great idle, great compression. Larger Races: S7 that has 2.5 gallons, running strong, great idle, great compression. On the two I run for club races / larger races. I have not done any maintenance on them its all orginal bearings & conrod. They idle like a champ, I've never flamed out in any race. Right or wrong I use the turbohead with a p3. I use 2045 with a 7mm carb restrictor always making the 7:30 pit window (8+ till dry). The tempatures are always reasonable 215 - 230's. I never adjust the botton end on these, only the top end sometimes. I love how all the parts for the S series fit each other, so even if I need to replace something I can always swap for a working engine. Have definately loved the RB engines. I've had two 2045 stingers bend / crack, I'd recommened JB Weld around the stinger to strengthen it. I just got an awesome deal on a WS7 on ebay and will be breaking this in soon now. |
