Aaron, what pipe/header combination are you using on your Killer 9?

Yup, 2045/192. Pipe runs fantastic and is strong. I was worried about the long stinger getting bent, after running dynamite's reinforced stinger. I had about 5 people ask me about the Killer 9 this weekend after seeing it in action.

Killer 9 is definately the way to go. For the price you can't beat it. Aaron's truggy flies with the K9!!!:tire:

Thanks Jud, Good Luck with your K9 in that new Moooooogen M-spec.

How was your BLT? Mine was good, except the toast tore up the bottom of my mouth.

aaron joy 11-23-2009 08:58 AM

I should have a link in the next couple of days of me racing this past weekend (11/22/09) with my Killer 9 in my Losi 8ight T 2.0:smile:

Yea Jud they make some good food, but they take so long. Last time we were there I ordered a cheese steak, but had to cancel it. I was going to miss my next heat.

where does the rb buggy 9 rank in the new line of engines is is the c6 of the new lines? i used to run rb engines and want to get back to running them but am kinda confused of where to start lol. i used to run the c6bbt wanted there new top engine thanks

Well my RB S7 finally wore out this past weekend. It had TKO ceramic bearings and turbo head and man this motor screamed with this combo with a JP3 pipe with Byron's 30%. This motor had over 11 gallons on it and it only got repinched once. But the bushing on the ConRod finally broke apart but still stayed in the rod..So I need a conrod and I think this motor still has a few more gallons left in it!! No RB motors in stock around here so for a big race this next weekend I bought a Werks B5..

The B9 is the engine that replaced the C6, the specs of the B9 are what the C6BBT were. The C6USA is actually even more powerful than the B9 is but it is hard to find. I recently got the Shark 9 and it seems to be a great motor so far but it is not fully broken in yet.

If you want the most powerful RB in the lineup the C6USA would be what you want, although in a buggy it may be a little too much. I find it to be perfect in my truggy!!!

If your plan is to eventually replace the conrod in the S7 you should pull the engine totally apart and make sure everything else is in good condition. If you ran the same rod in the engine for all 11 gallons it's very likely that there was some slop where it connected to the crank and may have wore out the crank pin slightly. Use some calipers and make sure the pin measures the same all the way around and does not have an oval or egg shape to it. If the crank and rod both need replaced it may be a better idea to just replace the engine.
